    Rear sway bar installation problems

I have an ADDCO on my 65. The U Bolts slide down over the axle from the front at abour a 45 degree and you do have to move the lines to put them on. Not drastrically, just a little. I have had not problem with the mounts being damaged at all. I don't really like the mount system though and am...

Thanks, I read the old thread. I'll install a filler neck for flushong and try to make sure there is no air trapped. Are you happy with your heads otherwise?

    New Heads , New Noise

Yes, I have the old style block and no I did not burp the cooling system. I did fill it slowly and gave it time to bleed air. I had to drill the steam holes in the block as well. Did you figure out the problem?

    New Heads , New Noise

My new Edelbrock heads are on. I am very pleased so far with the results but will have numbers from the dyno soon. Problem is that after it has idled for about a minute, I get a "rattle" from around the Number 2 cylinder tword the center of the intake. It goes completly away with any RPMs...

How much to mill Edelbrock heads

I am not really set to do anything, hence the surch for advice. Just trying to make sure while I'm doing this that I do the best job I can. If I stand to gain 40 with the better head and lose 5-6, I can live without the hassel of having the heads milled. I have not seen any dyno results gained...

How much to mill Edelbrock heads

I'm trying to keep it the same. Edelbrock advised me to mill them but did not suggest how much. My stock heads are around 55 ccs from what I can gather.

Painting the interior of my '65

I got mine from NPD, Can says Seymour universal solvent blend. I sanded my doors with one of those soft sanding blocks, cleaned them well with acetone, and painted. This stuff went on well and dried quickly. I am very pleased with the result.

    rear suspension for Autox

I am running a Tru trac 3.55 diff with a T5Z tranny. Coming out of the turns I get on the gas and loose traction. It was a "loose" course and I have not done time in since 81 on the track but do understand that more experience will help. I think the car is well balanced but can do some more to...

    rear suspension for Autox

    Scott Drake eletric fan kit

Has anybody used this kit? Or, what is a good eletric fan to use for a 289 with mild mods for a South Carolina summer. I plan for an AC unit soon as well. Car has 3 row standard radiator, Edelbrock water pump, fan clutch now. Thanks

    Coolant leak

I have coolant seeping from the joint between the water pump and the timing cover, at the long bolt, furthest to the right, looking at the engine from the front. Can I simply remove the bolt and use some thread sealer? It does not really pose a problem other than the occaisonal need to soak up...

    Tuning a '66 / Just Saying Hello

I did the Edelbeock mods you mentioned and ended up with 180 hp at the rear wheels. 2 bl 289s delivered about 150. The 500 cfm carb is great but I would go with the 600 if I did it over again. Look at the Ford Muscle article on adding your fisrt intake and carb, They discuss Holly, Edelbrock...

So what'd yall get for X-mas?

3:55 diff with Truetrac, OT upper "A" arms, volume pedal for my bass, and new carbon sole cycling shoes. The new diff is sweet, was a 2:79, and no more squeak when I hit a bump!
