    Stock 17" GT Wheel Owners

I've always done 32psi with Goodyear Gatorback 245/45/17. Nittos are a different story though. Jake

    EGR Elimination Question

If you have a tuning device you can eliminate it that way, but if not I elminated mine while on the the stock EEC. Cap the header with a 5/8" NPT cap (I've heard that it might actually be metric and I'm not entirely sure on the size...it's been awhile). Cap the intake with a plate. And...

Car is stalling while using Cruise Control

There are vacuum hoses that connect to the CC servo housing. Long shot, but maybe. Jake

New distributor = 6k RPMS = = Thanks fellas! Jake

    High RPM Miss at WOT

Tables look alright. I guess the stator goes out from extended exposure to heat and this problem started after a 12 hour drive to Michigan. I think I might try replacing the distributor, but before I spend the $100 on that I'd like to see if anyone else has any other ideas??? Jake

    High RPM Miss at WOT

I didn't do any logging because I don't have my laptop (at some friends place for the weekend). I was just looking at the wideband gauge and did a few WOT pulls. It would sit at 12.7 until the miss started and it would go to as high as 16:1. I'm just confused what could cause bad gas...

    High RPM Miss at WOT

Ok...looks like the miss is causing a lean condition. So what should I be looking for in a tweecer datalog? Issues: High RPM WOT miss No miss at ~3/4 throttle all the way to 6k 14.7:1 A/F at cruise, but loss of 4mpg on highway 255...

    High RPM Miss at WOT

Not sure on the spark/fuel gut feeling. I'll have to get on the freeway soon and check it out (I'm trapped in Dearborn right now). I was thinking about swapping the dizzy and seeing if that takes care of it. I'm thinking either dizzy, TFI or injectors. Possibly the regulator... Jake

    High RPM Miss at WOT

Hey Guys--I haven't been on here in awhile. (I got a little bored with the hobby-- busy with school and more importantly no new parts were coming  ) I'm wondering if the miss is fuel or spark related. I can spin the car out in all gears up to 6k with 3/4 throttle, but at WOT there...

Guys with Comp Cams Beehive springs INSIDE!

Yep, I agree...cheap stuff first. Damn I didn't think you needed copmressed air in each cylinder! How did you do that? I guess there's no way I could do that at my tool limited house out in Michigan. Jake

Guys with Comp Cams Beehive springs INSIDE!

No, these aren't Eds springs, they are stock "upgraded" AFR springs. Last summer I powershifted from third into second at the track and smacked all the exhaust valves against the pistons. Took the heads off and got them redone and the guy said he put some shims under the springs to get them...

Guys with Comp Cams Beehive springs INSIDE!

Yeah, I'm thinking that sounds like a better idea since there seems to be conflicting opinions about the beehives. I'm getting a real bad miss above 5k rpms. I think it's the valve springs, but I'm not sure. Any way to actually know besides taking off the valve covers? I was going to try...

Guys with Comp Cams Beehive springs INSIDE!

Are these the correct springs for some AFR 165cc heads? http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=CCA%2D26120%2D16&N=115&autoview=sku My cam calls for 130-135 on the seat. These have 155, but they seem to be the right diamter for the application. Any input? I don't...

What psi for Nitto 275 on street?

Thanks Paul! Any new plans for your car? What about that pipe dream for the turbo fox? Jake

What psi for Nitto 275 on street?

What psi should I run a Nitto 275/40/17 (on a 17x8 rim) on the street? I've been at 27psi. I remember my buddys Nittos going bald in the center from too much psi. Thanks. Jake

Fox Cruise cable with Fox TB swap?

Yeah, I had to do the same thing. I got the cable today and put it in. Works great, but I had to put those washers in there otherwise it would hit the fuel pressure regulator. Thanks guys. Jake

    TPS voltage

Yeah, I think I used to be in the low 20s for combined mileage. But I just fixed some sizeable exhaust leaks, so I'm hoping that helps my mileage. Jake

Can you scan for codes using the tweecer?

I just went to Checker and they did a scan for free. Jake

    TPS voltage

My last tank was 17.9 with mixed highway and city, so not as bad as I thought it was going to be. But I think I may have to commute 35 miles each way this summer with it, so I'd like to get it back to where it used to be. Jake

    TPS voltage

I scanned codes and it said my TPS voltage was too low. Code 122, I think. I put a new TPS in there and it went right to .94. Hopefully it is affecting my mileage, cuz I used to get awesome mileage on trips (~27mpg). Jake
