    About other car forums

I don't get what is with all the imports either. The only one I give SOME respect to are the Subaru STI's and the only reason they are good is b/c they can handle a ton of boost b/c it is the same engine that they use in rally cars. Why though push a 4cyl to the limit with 30psi to get at MAX...

    Reflash ?

Ford is the one who put the throttle delay in. You need an aftermarket tuner to get rid of it. The reason I have heard for the delay is for people who have a shaky foot. The delay eliminates the problem of someone having a shaky foot on the highway and thus gives better gas milage. I...

    427.9 rwhp on my 05

Very nice numbers and a beautiful car. Hope it stays running with 9psi and all stock internals. Keep us posted.

    Good results: Mother's Powerball

I am going to have to pick one up if it is reusable and only $20.

    Good results: Mother's Powerball

Looks great. I was thinking of getting the power ball. Is it real durable or do you need to replace it after a use or two?

    Warranty Problem

Yes but you are saying "If there is any sign of abuse" so again they are the ones with the burden of proving that your mods are actually abuse. Also you said serious performance mods. Of course something serious like a blower is going to void your warrenty but something like CAI and exhaust...

Mother's Back to Black before and after

I have been hating the way the black trim around the doors of my '05 was getting chalky and white. I used Mother's Back to Black on it last night and it made a big difference. Check out these before and after pics I took...

Yea, I gotta go with what the tuner says, he does it every day I it's my first dyno tune. Plus it makes sense for it to be rear wheel numbers given that the machine was hooked up to the rear wheels. ;)

Installed my Bassani axle-back today, Not what I expected!

At WOT they are loud as hell. At idle they are not loud but sound great. Like a classic muscle car. I can't tell you how many complements I get on them. Click on my link in my earlier post to hear them.

Yea, the title is wrong. I saw it and asked the tuner while I was there and he said its a misnomer. Should be rear wheel. Only way to test fly wheel is to yank the engine and dyno it on its own. No real way to predict how much hp is lost to the drivetrain.

I have Bassani cats x-pipe and axle back and I love the sound. It has a nice rumble but not to loud at idle and at WOT it's just mean. You can hear it real well here: http://videos.streetfire.net/player.aspx?fileid=0FD4F133-121A-4C45-B71A-BB05078989EA

Then if the inspection place asks the same thing happened to me :D

As far as I know as long as you HAVE cats and you aren't tripping any emmissions codes that cause the CEL light to go on you can pass inspection in New York. The Bassani cats were causing me to get a CEL b/c I was running lean. We tuned it and adjusted the A/F and now no more CEL (knock on wood).

My Bassani x pipe didn't nessessarily weigh less than the stock h pipe but the Bassani cats sure were lighter than the stock cats (and way less restrictive). I definatly think I got a power gain out of the Bassani cats. Take a look at the difference...

    kind of stupid question....(radiator hoses)

I have heard that over time Armor all will dry out the hoses and cause them to crack. McGuiars rubber and vinyl cleaner is much better and does not dry out the rubber.

Yea, as I was saying before the guy who did my tune said there could be a 5hp difference in dynos so my numbers could be more like 294 rwhp which I am still happy with. Eitherway what really matters is performance and she feels MUCH quicker now

    New Rims

I think 20" are definatly too big, go with 19" at most. I am going to be going with 18"x10 in back and 18"x9 in front. I have heard that the 18"x10 can accept up to a 305 but I was thinking something in the 280s.

Yes, my dyno sheet says the correction method is SAE. Here is my dyno sheet. The JLT CAI is one of the least expensive on the market and it is awsome IMO. :nice:

Fit and Finish - How's your's holding up?

Overall I am very happy with the fit and finish after a year. The only problem I am having is the black plastic around the doors is turning chalky white. I think it is from me hitting it on accident with wax. I am going to put some Mother's Back to Black on it. That stuff is great.
