Have there been any reflash programs or TSB's to deal with the slow throttle (delay) response and 3-4 second decel delay I experiance with my 05 GT? I understand it's probably there for emissions but what an annoyance. Please tell me I don't have to buy an aftermarket tuner to cure this. My dealer, with a quick off the cuff remark, told me the pcm's still learning driveability even after 9500 miles. Sorry, I don't believe them.

Yes, you need to reflash. Your car's ECU won't learn anything, especially dealing with the drive-by-wire, which is there to mostly save the engine under hard acceleration. And don't ask which tuner to go with, please. I would rather chew on the wall than watch another tuner thread happen with 3 threads already on this page.

I think that his question (or maybe mine) is; Has FORD addressed this issue yet ?? Any TSB's on it?

Also, if some of you Tuner Dudes stumble onto this thread - / - why not market a 'dumbed-down' re-Tune that simply addresses this annoying problem from Ford?

There's more money out there in the low end of the market than there is in catering to your Street Racing buddies!

Ford is the one who put the throttle delay in. You need an aftermarket tuner to get rid of it. The reason I have heard for the delay is for people who have a shaky foot. The delay eliminates the problem of someone having a shaky foot on the highway and thus gives better gas milage. I know...it's :bs: crapola but you need an aftermarket tuner to get rid of it. I did it with mine when I did my SCT tune and it's much better.
