    Source for replacement upolstery

SMS Auto Fabrics in Canby, Oregon had the original material for my 75 Silver Ghia, roof, seats, vinyl and cloth, and head liner. They are slow and a pain to work with via phone or mail. Never had a problem when I was a walk in but my last order by mail was a real fiasco. I did finally receive...

Most body shops can put new pins in the door. My drivers side door had the same problem. When they painted my car last month they put in new pins for $20.

    1975 Carb problem---question

I just finished a total rebuild on my V6 and am having problems getting the carb adjusted correctly. Runs a little rough so you have to crank up the idle to about 900. Had a shop put it on a scope and do their thing. The mechanic told me the throttle plates were not closing all the way, and...

    1975 wheels 13" vs. 14"

My 1975 Ghia came with CR70-13 tires. Rims are 13 x 5 with 4 bolt pattern. The Mustang specs do not list a 14" option for 1975. I have found a set of 14" x 6" chrome rims from a 1979 Mustang. Will they fit and what size tire do I use to make sure I don't screw up the speedometer readings.??

    Questions on V6 vacuum system

I am rebuiling a 1975 2.8 V6 with 4 speed tranny. I have decided to disable the EGR valve and to run the vacuum from the carb straight to the vacuum advance instead of thru the ported vacuum adapter. According to the write up the purpose of the ported vacuum is to directly apply exhaust...

    2800cc V6 vacuum system question

Here is the rough drawing of the 1975 V6 vacuum system as requested. Thanks to Ronto Zoltan. There are 4 smaller diagrams that break this one down but I just found out I am limited to two attached files so I could not send them along.

    2800cc V6 vacuum system question

Thanks, Haynes and Chilton are both strike outs. Need the engine diagram. The carb control, EGR is a nightmare on these things. Good luck in your search.

    2800cc V6 vacuum system question

The 2800 V6 (1975, 4-speed with A/C)has a unit mounted in the front center of the engine where the heater and radiator hose connect. It also has the temp sensor and three vacuum control units. Two of the units have three ports and one has two. I am doing a rebuild after 10 years of sitting...

    1975 4 speed transmission help

I finally figured it out. First one of these I have torn apart and I wasn't tilting it down far enough. Once I figured it out, it was a DUH. Looks like getting the needle bearings back between the input and output shaft will be fun. I'll need some bubble gum grease for that.

    1975 Four speed transmission help

I am trying to put new synchros and input shaft in a 1975 4 speed. I can't figure out how to get the reverse sliding gear off the shaft. I have removed the roll pin on the output shaft and all of the snap rings. I can get all of the gears to spread apart so I can clearly see the gear in...
