Vibration is still there!!! Please help me before I give up and sell the car!

This vibration is driving me nuts!!! :bang: :bang: :bang: For those that don't know the issues here it is. The car vibrates quite a bit around 35-45 mph (coasting in neutral or in gear). The vibration can be felt in the shifter as well as the steering wheel. Cliffnotes version...

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

Yup, I agree. My original problem seemed to consist of two separate vibrations. One standing still and the other while rolling so I'm taking care of the rolling one first. We'll see on monday.

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

Well I took it to Lee's Auto Parts, which I would trust before Auto Zone or Pep Boys... I dunno. We'll see if the vibration continues or not. If it does I'll look into a new flywheel.

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

How can a pilot bearing break? I tapped it in with a hammer and socket. A little corner chipped off but nothing big... Bolts were all torqued with loctite red.

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

But I took apart the U-Joints which adds a new twist to the "Try all the four ways it can be bolted up" idea. If the Yoke is on the opposite direction than it was originally and the other end is on the right way, then the driveshaft will never balance out since the parts are off from eachother...

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

Yup, it faces the proper way. I'm begining to think that the engine was still in its learning phase (disconnected the battery) and I wasn't used to it since I haven't really driven it in about 3 months :( But my driveline vibration is still there (when rolling) so I'm going to pay the $50 to...

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

The balancer is only like a year or two old. But maybe it moved when supporting the engine with that rope... Otherwise, yes, there are dowels in the flywheel. The clutch should be uniformly balanced right? So there's no real wrong way to put it on either?

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

It can only bolt on one way? I didn't realize that lol. Any idea if the flywheel needs to be re-balanced after it has been turned? Thanks,

Did a clutch install and now my engine vibrates around 2000 rpm.

Well I've determined that I should never work on a car again... lol I blew out my clutch a while ago and have since replaced it with a spec II unit. I also got the flywheel resurfaced and replaced the pilot bearing. Now, when I go to drive my car I noticed a pretty good sized vibration...

Satellite Radio for our Cars? Where to install the tuner? (Plug & Play) XM vs Sirius

Greetings! I'm trying to decide between XM and Sirius since I can get a great deal on either and I'm wondering what kinds of options I have in terms of mounting the plug and play tuner in my Mustang. I found a Sirius tuner that may fit in the cubby (Kenwood unit) but otherwise they're all too...

1993 Cobra Intake or 94-95 Cobra Intake

Thanks, that's a GT-40 Upper intake. They make a little more power than the Cobra upper but its a small difference from my understanding. Lower is the same as a Cobra 5.0 and the upper can be had used from a 351 lightning for about $150 or new for $300 (I believe). I just got mine used and...

Oil Change Question - What Oil and Filter do YOU use?

Valvoline 10w30 and FL1-A Motorcraft Filter I went through this too and finally saw some articles about how poor the Fram's are. I switched the next change.

Measuring input shaft end play with trans in the car???

Just heard that when you replace the bearing retainer on the T-5, that you need to check the end play and possibly shim the bearing more. I assumed that the parts were machined the same and that this wasn't an issue. Do I have to pull the trans again and check this or can it be checked with the...

Bad Vibration from Rear End after replacing pinon seal

Checked the driveshaft to see if it was installed wrong Well, I checked the driveshaft (4 different ways) and that's not the problem and I was thinking about this and want to see what you think. There's some twisting play (gaps between teeth) between the pinion and the ring, but the pinion...

    Timing vs. AFR

Hmmm, I'm N/A so you're saying most likely I shouldn't need to worry about more fuel?
