    Normal Cooling

Mine takes longer than some cars (Audi, VW, Saab) in the morning on the same route to work. I think that they just warm up slowly by nature. However, you say that it gets to 3/4 gauge after a coolant flush...that sounds like you have some air in the system. You might need to bleed it out. Does...

    Squeaky belts

Naa...you should be okay just as long as you keep it off the belt (a little overspray shouldn't hurt it). For all it's worth, I've replaced the #9 idler twice. Just aim the little red WD straw towards the center of numbers 8 and 9, maybe number 7 if those don't work....

    Tire size help!!

Last year when I first got my FR500s I put on a set of 255/45R18s (freebees from an Audi at work) and they filled in the wheel arch gap nicely (esp. already lowered). Although, now that I've gone to a 275/35R18 and see what the sidewall is supposed to look like I wish I'd gone with the right...

    KDW2 (KDW NT) vs. GS-D3

Well, it goes against everything I think about GoodYear, but everything I've heard both on here and at work (Porsche, Lotus and Ferrari owners) is that the GS-D3s are a remarkable tire. They have all the qualities you're looking for...traction on track and wet as well as treadwear. On the...

    Window Tint DIY

Two words......back window. Have you ever cleaned the inside of it? Pretty hard to get to the very bottom with a towel--I can't imagine trying to stick tint on it straight. The other problem is the "dot-matrix" on the top of same said rear window. I've seen pros not get it right. Like stated...

    Spark Plugs..need it asap

I'm thinkin' I'm gonna go get a set of these here plugs...3 platinum points has gotta be more gooder than 1. "Now SplitFire's patented split "V" side electrode design is available with three separate points of platinum, substantially reducing electrode wear. What's more, the...

Sweet...good lookin' out. I was looking at the whole Steeda package and it looks like it's cheaper than getting the adjuster/quadrant/stock cable, but if you think the stocker will last longer then money well spent. Looks like that place that I linked to has everything as well as my headlights...

So a stock cable and a firewall adjuster like this one? What about a quadrant like this? I'm all for trying that route...heck of a lot easier than dropping the tranny out to do a clutch :D .

Well, I've given up and am now searching for a clutch kit and possibly a flyheel (lighter, of course). If it is the T.O. bearing going bad does anyone know how long after they start showing themselves do they actually go out?

    Would this be possible?

Yep...they're planning on bringing it over here next year (as if they don't already have enough problems :nonono: ).

Are Hawk brake pads really that much better?

To elaborate, the stock rubber hoses are just that...rubber. The harder you push on the pedal, the more fluid pressure you're putting thru them, causing them to flex (almost like a balloon, just not as dramatically). What the S/S lines do contain them so that they can't flex, sending the fluid...

    Cheap

:Word: The only thing I have painted in my interior was my instrument cluster bezel (the face with the holes for the gauges). I got a silver A/C face and I used VHT aluminum caliper paint (left over from old calipers) and the match between the 2 is great. Things that are subtle like that I...

Okay, most importantly I've still got a little over a 12-pack in the fridge. Second, still tied game at 0. Third, the noise... I went out, twisted like a pretzel and lubed as best as I could all the springs as well as the cable going into the firewall. I took it out and drove it and it felt a...

Its a 3650 with the stock clutch and cable, almost 60k on the ticker. I'm going to the garage now to see if anything is bound up or if there's anything to lube. Beers are open and the Ohio State game kickoff is in an hour, so this might take a while...:D

    Shocks and struts question...

QFT ...and Tom, you have something we don't......4 wheel drifts. I've driven quite a few Audis over the years and the Quattro is definately good for that. Plus when you're done playing in the snow, you don't have to worry about getting stuck. Just be sure to turn you're ASR off before you go...

I know...there are times when I can get the pedal about 3/4 of the way and then I really have to labor to get it the rest of the way down.
