Sometimes when I start up my car the car squeaks when driven like the first five minutes...sometimes longer..I'm thinking squeaky belts..any other possibilities and way to solve it?
If the belt is good and the tension is correct, try shooting a little WD40 into the center of the pulley(s) making the noise. Just be sure not to get any on the belt.
I just got a bottle of te good stuff wd40...any tips other then shooting it into the pulleys? I don't want to mess anything up..but the squeaking is killing ME
Naa...you should be okay just as long as you keep it off the belt (a little overspray shouldn't hurt it). For all it's worth, I've replaced the #9 idler twice. Just aim the little red WD straw towards the center of numbers 8 and 9, maybe number 7 if those don't work....
