    At college

First year of university is like a constant drunk, for some... But being away from the 'stang must suck, but at least it won't be too far. There's a good chance might be 3000+ miles from my car in January, which is gonna suck quite a bit. How long's your program? I've been at the university...

    got my stang!!

Wow! I'm highly jealous of your interior, looks perfect. Those front mud flaps have to go though, haha. Even if they are effective. I like the wheels too, they seem to line-up nicely with the rear fenders :nice:

    Finally own a 95

I was gonna say something negative about the rims, but didn't wanna hurt your feelings in case you actually liked them :D Looks like the p.o. put the wrong size tires on them too. They look way too small for the wheel wells. Looks like you're off to a quick start, you don't mess-around lol

He's right. BTW Aaron, how are those herpes treating ya? Did you use the cream I recommended? .... anyways, welcome to the site, mang. Looks like you're off to a good start. What all are you doing to the front end?

Car & Owner Pic Thread: Post Away

Well, the car has changed a good bit in the last 11 months, so what the hey... Here's how it looks as of now: Me on the other hand, I'm just as ugly as before. (I call her "stubby") :D My version of the famous "YOU'RE A ***" picture

    My possible rod knock *VID*

I have to agree with the bunch here. I've heard rod knock before and this sounds a bit more high-pitched to me. It does sound alot like valvetrain noise, and more from the top-end.

    What would you do?

If one of those cam bearings is damaged, I'd be inclined to replace all of them. And getting a machine shop to do that isn't cheap. As for the heads, I wouldn't even bother repairing them for what they are worth. I vote on the Explorer jy motor idea, seems like the most economical way to go...

    Whats it worth?

Sounds like a plan. Heck, even I'd go for it at that price.

I don't get the second one (in the first post)... I didn't bother watching the whole thing though.

    Post Pics Of Yourself

what the heck, I'll jump in Our last camping/canoeing trip, I'm the dork standing on the left: Asian chicks FTW: Half-tanked, wearing a wig: Out with some friends... kickin' it, apparently. Whatever, shut up... Did I mention I love asian girls? The only pic I've got...

    Whats it worth?

I've never owned one, but I have only heard bad things about the early carbed 3.8's. Some went as far to say it was one of the most unreliable motors Ford ever put into a car. Looks like it'd be a good project though. How many miles are on the motor?

    My new DD

Man, that is PIMP! You'll have to start peeling the ladies off of you... But seriously, it looks in pretty good shape. Whats leaking on it that warrants the use of the cardboard?

Where the hell is the oil going??

Did you check the oil right after you shut it off? Mine shows almost a quart low when I do that, since there's still alot of oil that hasn't dripped-down. Its better to check it when the engine is cold, but yeah, sounds like its low. Check the throttle blade for signs of oil, to see if the PCV...

    Distributors

I might also note that when my PIP went, the car just bogged a couple times then died completely, never to be resurrected. It would not start the next day either after a complete cool-down. As for TFI modules going, I have seen them die then work again once they had cooled-off. A good check for...

    Hrmmm....what am I up to?

Its about time you got on that! I dunno if your plans differ now from the last time I talked to you, but be sure post-up specs on the build as you gitter duun. Too bad I'm not around to use my car as a template, but I guess you could always go bug the other Aaron :D Good luck, mang, I hope...

I got a reman last month, and now the car runs better than ever. Timing is set the same as before (~12*) and now I can run 87-octane without pinging. It used to ping quite often with 94 in it, and to top it off I now manage 26-27mpg on the highway :nice: Only bad part is that they didn't put a...

    MSD Wires

I'll deffinetly do the cut-to-fit next time. I got the pre-made MSD's and man are they ever tight, seems like some of them are under tension... They've been working fine for me, and no signs of the boots melting near the headers or anything. Angled boots would also work better than the straight...

    Another cobra brake clearance thread...

Nah, if that was true you wouldn't be seeing so many Cobra's (especially the '03-'04 variety) running slicks at the track. It will vary on the exact wheels, but I doubt you'll have trouble with a 15".
