    2 inches of play? To those who have replaced that bushing. Does a new one eliminate all the play or is there still a slight amount of play in neutral? I reused the original plastic one with a Tri-Ax and there is a slight amount of play in neutral. I think the stock shifter had some play...

    Factory wheels FTW in this case. As for the car,I don`t find it even remotely appealing. The side view reminds me of a Civic.

    I think those bolt holes in the head are 7/16" diameter with coarse threads. Probably grade 8 from the factory. Don`t know the length.

    :shock: The coolant may be from the thermostat housing or where the intake meets the head at the front.

    Car performance/stock intake

    The stock lower intake is a restriction even with the crappy E7 heads and even more with your GT40P`s. You would likely gain a significant increase with a better intake like the GT40. Right now you have a major bottleneck with the stock intake.

    Cheap cold air intake for 86 - 88 ? ? ?

    Waste of money. The stock system is already a cold air intake system,just remove the pos restrictive silencer and throw in a K&N filter. According to the 5.0L tech and reference book,removing the silencer is worth approximately 5-7 hp.

    Is your PCV system working properly on the 5.0L...no plugged up screen element below the PCV valve?

    Wow,that oil baffle on the Cobra looks like a total joke compared to the one on the Explorer. I`d be wanting the Explorer size over that mickey mouse Cobra baffle.

    What`s it like with those Fiore parts? Does the clutch start to engage closer to the floor like stock or higher up? Did you use a stock cable?

    CFI sucks and nobody modifies them. There`s nothing you can really do with them.
