runs poorly in the rain or cold?

previously, you said you have no codes...do you mean that you checked codes and got an 11 that signifies everything is ok...or that no codes at all were retrieved...or do you mean the CEL is not on? The check engine light won't come on for most problems, only the most extreme problems. it would...

    Good Suspension Mods?

pro3i makes very good quality LCAs, comparable to MMs. for uppers i would just go with the ford racing ones...with the other stiffer UCAs on the market, suspension bind can be an issue. panhard bars and torque arms are badass, go with the MM ones. my2cents for more info check out Corner...

    Engine Configuration to Perform--or Not?

i wouldn't bother w/ the 24s and cobra ECM, they're unnecessary with the limited mods you have. a good idea would be to get some gears and a shift kit. i've heard good things about Baumann's shift kit.

    codes

94 and 44 are usually output because the car was not fully warmed up (or you have the smog valves disconnected). clear codes by starting the self-test and disconnecting the code reader (or jumper wire) as the codes are being output (not after, but during), or simply disconnect the battery for...

have you Checked for Codes? the cylinder balance part of the self-test will give us something to work with. let us know

    MAP/BARO question

you got it, no difference as long as you leave the vac port open. let us know how it goes:flag:

    Where to go from here

they used a performer rpm intake, and performer heads. i may be wrong here but i would think that they should have used the performer rpm heads that have the larger valves. yessir, novi 2000

    MAP/BARO question

thanks, i missed the part about his vehicle being converted to MAF...definitely want to leave that vac port on the MAP "open to atmosphere", not hooked to intake vacuum. 1fatpony, that is the connector in your picture.

    Where to go from here

have you seen this months 5.0 mag? H/C/I (albeit mismatched IMO) produced way less power and alot less low rpm power than did a Novi 2000.

    Door Prob. Not 5.0

mustangs have a door striker on the inside (back) of the door opening. if the cavalier is similar (it probably is) than loosten the striker and readjust it further inward. you may need a Torx (star pattern) bit, similar in design to an allen wrench.

    MAP/BARO question

it should be on the firewall just behind your intake manifold. it could have been relocated to under the cowl panel, or maybe even in the fender. the car will run without the MAP hooked up, but fuel/timing calculations will be "safe" rather than optimum. JIC, this is what it looks like...

    what size injectors?

several things could be responsible for the o2s reading lean, and that may be the problem...but i would guess that your low-end power problem is because of your intake. R(ace) intakes aren't exactly known for low-end power;)

    fiberglass hatch ?'s

i wonder if some old, slightly weak, hatch shocks would work:shrug: also someone (percy's maybe?) makes speedglass...lighter than glass but curved correctly, rather than the flat lexan.

whats the best engine for a 87-93 GT?

i guess, with an unlimited budget, i would go with a 351 stroked to 408...or a 331 or 347 would be nice since it weighs about the same as a stock 302 but has more cubes...of course a big block is always good. cheapest route would be a stock 5oh motor with nitrous...or a turbo

whats the best engine for a 87-93 GT?

bigger is always better...that said, i whoop up on the new GTs with my nearly stock 5.0

What is this strange sound in fuel rails.

i've heard that before on mine...i believe it is just fuel being "returned" since the sound steadies when fuel pressure goes up and is intermittant when fuel pressure is lowered.

    MAF sensor or distributor modual

you don't need a code reader to read codes...only a single wire or a paperclip. check the link that i provided previously.

    MAF sensor or distributor modual

you should Check for Codes. that will tell you if the MAF or any other sensor or actuator is malfunctioning. let us know what codes you get or if you need any help getting the test to work

    wont idle with clutch in

the ECM relies on one sensor and one actuator to raise idle when coming to a stop to prevent the stalling that you are experiencing. the VSS tells the ECM the speed (that you're stopping), and the IAC gives the extra air to raise the idle. one (or both) of these is likely your problem.
