Engine front rebuild going to commence. Water pump, timing chain cover reseal, new balancer, new pulleys, tensioner, PS pump, 3G alternator. I don't want to have to do this again.

Got the other side all pulled off. All the oil leaks look to be the valve covers. What is this bolt?! I know practically every damn bolt on this car. But I don't know what this is doing. Passenger side about 2" above the oil pan.

Pulling stuff apart. The cooling fan was straight cracked in half but still on the clutch. The power steering can't leak if it's not attached. Haven't opened the cooling system yet. Trying ot hold off on that till the new :poo: shows up so I can do the radiator and AC condenser at the same time.

Where did you put the charcoal can? Inside the fender like the SN95s is what tracks for me. Mine is currently exactly where the abs pump would go.

Secured a pump online. It seems like the hard part is going to be the car side wiring. Ran by the junk yard. 4 SN95s. Not one had ABS. The other two junk yards in the area have a few, but they're a lot farther from the house.

That's what I need to find out. If I do the prop valve, M/C & the pump from a Cobra (though I'm not sure there's any difference in the pump but there might be in the software). All of the fluid flow will match with the calipers I have on the car & the IRS is certainly heavier than the live axle...

I get that. So the problem is that the rear will lock up WAY before the front without any restrictions on the single line that splits to both rear calipers. So the ABS will kick in at that point because of the rear lockup and attempt to balance the system. Is that a bad thing? And if the stock...

And if you're gutting the PV, why not just run the lines directly to the ABS pump? Eliminate fittings, etc.

I already did those things when I did the 2300K install. But, is there a reason not to let the ABS dial in the rear end?

Ok. So. Hear me out. If I get a pump, mount it in the factory location, buy a complete new hardline kit for a 95 Cobra, use a 95 Cobra M/C, a stock 95 Cobra P/V. And just send it. Its a full system that's factory spec. No guess work. No wonky junctions. No having to flare anything. Seems...

New motor mounts will be here tomorrow. If I'm this far in, I want to make sure everything is right.

Everything went together perfectly. The throwout bearing looks wonky because I slid it all the way to the inside of the retainer so it'd stay in place while I did everything else.

Bellhousing installed and torqued. I figured that'd make it easier to cover with canvas and protect everything while welding the floor.
