. I just realized that one of the water pump bolts is broken off in the block. There's enough sticking out to weld a nut to and get a torch to see if I can remove it.
You're not wrong. But this one was one of the OE bolts that I reused. Wish me luck.Why we don't buy grade-5 bolts from the hardware store to attach to the engine block for $100, please.

That's actually a really good idea. Thanks!I figure if the welding thing doesn't work, you can use the bad timing cover as a jig for a carbide drill bit.
