Not mustang, but need help with my assistants car

Why not just buy a hide a key and put it under the car somewhere.. A lot cheaper and easier than anything else....besides it is a 10 year old cavalier, not on the high priority list for stealing. LB

06 GT just died. Where do I begin?

I would have considered an issue with the pump but I'm running dual pumps. As long as I'm not pushing a lot of boost (i.e. normal driving) or even starting at this point, I don't need more than one pump. So even if I had a pump going bad, the second one is enough to keep it running. I (meaning...

06 GT just died. Where do I begin?

I can give that a try... hadn't considered it because the car barely has 25K miles on it...I'll let you know what happens. LB

06 GT just died. Where do I begin?

My wife was driving her 06 GT yesterday to my son's school. She was driving about 40mph and came up to an intersection, the light turned yellow so what does she do, she stands on the gas of course (not your typical female driver :D ). Anyway, instead of gaining speed, the car loses power which...

It has been quite a while since I put one in so I don't know what's good/great nowadays. Anyone else have good info on this? LB

Who makes the best quality Shelby fiberglass parts?

Great info zoo and rusty!! From what i have read, it sounds like mustangs to fear put some extra effort into their parts design. I wonder if anyone has used the newer Branda vacuum formed parts... regardless, it doesn't really seem to be much difference in price overall, but i'm definitely...

    5.0 fuel pump location

With a carb, I would suggest running an electric pump. Best placement is at the rear of the car mounted on the frame rail close to the tank. Electric pumps are much more efficient and will last longer pushing fuel instead of trying to pull the fuel. As far as the timing cover goes, use a block...

Who makes the best quality Shelby fiberglass parts?

Ok so I have been reading a lot about the quality of the Shelby fiberglass parts that are out there (i.e. front end, hood, decklid, end caps, and rear tail light panel). We all know the old stangs were built with much larger tolerances than current vehicles, but I hear a lot of complaints about...

    5.0 fuel pump location

shogun, it depends whether you are running carb or efi as to the style pump you are running. Mechanical pumps are going to give you about 6-8 psi. Most aftermarket electric pumps mounted externally run the same 6-8 psi and both of these work great for a carb set up. If you are going efi, those...

Thoughts on the new CPP front suspension?

haha... fast aggie, too funny. I hope your wife understands and is concerned with your safety. I am trying to consider my options for my coupe because it is still virgin but my fastback already has a MII under it but I don't trust the current setup, OEM Ford, so I am going to upgrade to the...

Thoughts on the new CPP front suspension?

Just ran across this setup.. Looks pretty neat, I am assuming it is still working good for both of you. The only downside I see compared to a MII, no abilitiy to put in a power rack. I know there are other options like the Randall, but don't really care for that one. Have you crossed the power...

    D&D Performance Transmissions

Does anyone know if D&D Performance transmissions are still in business? I have tried calling them and the number on their website is no good. Sent an email too and haven't received any response. I hope they haven't closed shop from all this economic crap.... LB

swapping an automatic for a manual tanny

I was able to pick up a setup out of a wrecked 05 for about $500. I'm going to upgrade the flywheel, clutch, and shifter so I'll be aroudn $1K total I'm guessing. I'm using Anthony's swap setup but had to put it off for a while so Anthony needs to get that swap posted again :hail2: LB

    Spark HIDs?

so whats the consensus for which kit to get? Sounds like they are pretty much the same except the more expensive kit has a warranty on the ballasts so I think I'm leaning towards that one. LB

    Spark HIDs?

What happens when switching between high and low beam? Do you lose lighting at all? Does the low beam stay on at all times? just curious on this aspect? LB

    Spark HIDs?

Has anyone on here ever used Spark brand HIDs? I know they won't have the high beam capability but for the price, it seems like a hard deal to pass up? If you've used them, how do you like them, how reliable are they, and how easy is the install? LB

    08 HID's in a 07 mustang

Personally, I prefer to stick with OEM style hardware and if I can pick up a set of used lights, then so be it. Otherwise, I will end up going with the Steeda kit but I figured I'd check here for a bit first. LB

    08 HID's in a 07 mustang

Is there a part number for the ford parts. anyone know where to get a good deal on the lights. I remember Ford wanted almost $2K for everything before. That's what redirected my interest to Steeda for only $1K.... LB

    08 HID's in a 07 mustang

CDC did a swap on one back like 2 years ago so you could contact them. I had inquired about the swap and they offered to provide help but I'm going Steeda so I changed direction and never pursued it further. LB
