    Timing Question

    Timing I have 10 degrees in the distributor (20 at the crank). All in by 2500 RPM's. I have set the initial at 16 degrees for a total of 36 degrees. Only detonation (pinging) I get is when I give it full throttle in 5th gear below 2500 RPM's. This should be OK. Right? Thanks for all the input.

    Starting problems Bad idea to dribble gas while cranking. A backfire could ignite the gas and cause some very serious injuries. Better to pour 1/2 oz or so of gas into the intake, and then try to start the engine.
