    pulled back apart, turns out the cutoff valve is a little floater inside a metal cage, guess i bent the surrounding cage a little and the valve got stuck in the closed position. all i had to do was stick a screw driver in and open up the cage a little to free it up....so the moral is be careful...

    can't really fill the tank slower, as soon as i pull the pump it spurts out a small stream of gas, then shuts off, recently it's been spilling out of the top of the tube because it won't go past this stupid cut off valve.....not really planning on rolling my stang so i don't think i'm going to...

    i ran into the same problem, there just isn't enough room, i had to pull the tank entirely and manahndle the dam filler tube to get it out, it didn't want to budge. anyway my valve didn't break off but it's not opening so when i try to fill the tank it keeps stopping the pump.....how exactly did...

    i had to replace the filler tube grommet on a 2000 3.8....pulled the tank, to do this but that was a pain (she had just filled it up, messy) and the filler tube has no slack and does not bend even after disconnecting the fuel and vaccuum lines from it. well apparently i was too rough with it...

    yep that's where it was, it had a large wiring harness hooked to it, thought it was the main harness so i figured ecm, guess i figured wrong..... do you know where to get one cheap? i don't care if it's used or a reman, just as long as it works

    so what determines good pressure? do i just cup my hand over it to see if there's pressure coming out? an engine knock wouldn't be intermitant though would it? i sure hope it's not an engine knock, i just got the car and need it for daily transportation, i'd hate to have to put a new engine...

    this was probably mentioned already but i didn't want to read 2 pages of posts on this... the fan won't kick on till it's about ready to overheat anyway, a quick fix is to wire it up through a fuse that gets hot when the ignition is turned on, i did this in mine and it runs much cooler, haven't...

    could it be a bad cat? sometimes it idles real rough and there's a knocking sound, thought it was lifter knock at first but then it went away it's probably an exhaust leak...i'm thinking the cat is taking a crap, that would make it run lean right? or should i just try replacing the o2 sensors...

    i've got a 93 coupe with the 2.3 engine. the check engine light is on most of the time, sometimes it goes out and the car runs better, when it's on it usually eaither idles too high (around 1800) or it will drop the idle down to norm (about 700) but it starts to sputter and feels like it's going...

    2.3 daily driver, fan won't come on??

    i just wired mine up so it comes on with the ignition, car runs much cooler and the ac blows colder because of the air moving over the condenser. seems to be working fine so far

    I am stumped....

    btw you can just wax your headlights, they won't look new but they'll look much better and less faded. but i'd recommend picking up a set of the 3 peice clear or smoked lights from ebay, they look pretty sweet without having that "rice" look of the euro lights
