    speedometer gear/VSS question

Theres wayyyy to many combinations, you should have taken my advice and got a better look in there or got the number off the tranny tag. Good luck now, you'll have a nice gear collection. The tranny number would give you the number of teeth on the tailshaft gear as long as its never been...

    speedometer gear/VSS question

There is no white tailshaft gear so its most likely a 7 tooth yellow gear. Yeah get all the info off the tag and we'll run the numbers. The number should read some like, 1352-*** get those last 3 numbers.

    Something wrong with???

Well if you're sure that the pickup tube is attached well then i'd move on to something easy like the oil pressure sending unit or put on a mechanical gauge like was mentioned above. The oil pump will get real hard to turn once its pumping oil while you're manually priming it, thats normal...

    Something wrong with???

Hmmm.... Are you sure everything got put back correctly there? All the bolts got tightened that hold the pickup tube to the pump? If that pickup tube loosened up or fell off that could be the problem. Then the pump is trying to just suck oil from the top of the pan rather than the bottom. So...

    speedometer gear/VSS question

Once you get the info from the tailshaft gear we can figure out what VSS gear you need, without that info its all a guess. If theres a yellow 7 tooth gear in there or a black 6 tooth in there it'll throw everything off. I just know that 90-93's came with an 8 tooth gear. That doesnt mean that...

    Something wrong with???

Did you mess with anything on the pump itself, like pull off the pick up tube thats attached to the pump to get the pan out?

    speedometer gear/VSS question

If the transmission is ACTUALLY a 1990 tranny it should have an 8 tooth gear on the tailshaft. The teeth are kinda tough to count but if you can count them and get the color then that would be best. If you've got the 8 tooth and you went with the white 23 tooth VSS gear your speedo will be off...

    speedometer gear/VSS question

That gear you see in there is attached to the tailshaft. Someone probably removed the gear from the VSS. I'd look in there and try and see what color the gear is. Pull out your MU catalog or look online, the pictures will tell the story.

    Vacuum line suggestions? mine broke

Yeah, like those guys ^^^ there said. Get some of the hard plastic line from the auto parts store, bring an old piece to match up the size. I used a heat gun on low and was able to put factory bends in the new hard plastic line. You wouldnt even know the difference from original.

    speedometer gear/VSS question

If you've got a Mustangs Unlimited book, they have the chart that tells you what gears work for each axle ratio. Look inside the hole in the tranmission where the VSS goes and see what color that gear is on the tailshaft. Yellow, Green, Black? The gear that goes on the VSS just has a little...

    Centerforce dual friction Q's

The weights that are attached to the pressure plate fingers come into play at higher RPM's. Those weights try and fling out at high RPM which applies more pressure to the disc. The springs built into the pressure plate do all the work at lower RPM's until those weights really get flinging.

    Repro Headliners??

Yes they're pretty easy. Just make sure you scrape or sand off all the old foam backing thats stuck on the stock cardboard backer. I bought my color matched material right from 5.0 Resto and it matches nicely and was fairly cheap and its real good quality material also.

    Repro Headliners??

You can get the glue at most autoparts stores. The stuff I used is made by 3M called General Trim Adhesive. The stuff worked great and the headliner came out awesome.

    Gap Insurance help

When my cars in storage I drop my coverage down to comprehensive only. Which means it covers anything that happens to the car other than a collision. So basically fire, theft, a tree falling on it, things like that. It costs me about $100 a year through Allstate. If you want it to cover what the...

Yeah you can't buy snowmobiles and expect to ride them much in southern new england, you've got to be willing to travel. I've got the truck with an enclosed trailer so I just head north.
