    2003 Mach 1 5 spd- I bought this car serval years ago. I went to get emissions testing this week and it failed due to the Vin missing the first three digits in the ecu. I've been to a Ford dealership three times now and they reflash the computer and it's still missing the first 3 numbers...

    So I completely forgot I have a perfectly good 4r70w sitting in the garage that was for my 56 project. Apparently the internals will fit right into my aod and it's much improved The 56 has a aod as well so I don't need it any longer for that project

    Did some searching but many of the threads on this topic are outdated and didnt really see any answers I liked. Looking for a reputable rebuild kit and to upgrade the od band with the required supporting hardware. I will be installing it myself so just need the kit and bearings.

    Just fired it up for the first time today. Cuts nice and smooth. I used a straight edge that has a groove which keeps it off the material. Soo much better than a cutting wheel. This is 18 ga. steel. I'm making a small box for my truck as a first project

    What about filler for any pits or dents in the chrome? Would a high build primer suffice.
