    Well, that solved the problem!!! I'm embarrassed to say, but I have been chasing this problem for quite sometime... The used to get up to 220-230 in a very short time (especially in the summer) driving easy. I drove the crap out of it earlier (about 75-80* out) and it wouldn't ever get above...

    No sir, not really... I checked it and it sucked the towel into it, which per your statement tells me that it is acting as a pusher right now and I must have something wired wrong. I guess I didn't realize that these would work with the polarity reversed... This should explain why the car...

    Overheating...

    Okay, now that we are getting into the hot part of the year my car is starting to run too hot.... I decided to check the water level. Shut the car off, let it cool down...crank it up with the cap off, and it looks okay. Then, the thermostat opens..... The water level goes down about 3-4 inches...

    I checked the t-stat in a pot of boiling water and it was fully opened at 180*. I don't think that it is a blown head gasket, because I haven't felt any lack of power and I haven't seen any water in the oil.... :shrug:

    Gotta question on deck height ... Can anyone tell me the stock deck height (between the top of the block and the piston @ TDC)for a 351W. I think that it is the same as a 302, but not sure. I am trying to plug in some numbers so I can get the cc figures for my pistons. Thanks!! Jim

    How much for the 2006 Cobra

    I still plan to buy an '06 Cobra even if it is around the 40k mark... 500hp from the factory + the new look= on the mark price wise in my book. Yes, I would love to see it stay in the 30k range...But, I seriously doubt it!

    True....I just wanted him to know that the FMS cams would be too small for a 351W based motor, especially if he is looking to achieve the 400+ mark. :nice:
