    If you were planning on installing a blower in the future, would forging the engine long before the actual blower install increase the life of your engine? Would you recommend forging the engine as soon as possible, and driving it until the blower install... or just driving it until you can...

    don't label exhaust flames ricer just because you saw it on fast and the furious... how often do you see mid-90s imports in real life with flames spitting out of their farting mufflers? I think it'll be one unique killer ride once he gets it working... it's not like he's rigging up little steam...

    matching rpms while downshifting is supposed to lengthen the life of your clutch due to lessened synchronizer wear. the less work you make synchronizer do to match the rpms of the engine and drivetrain, the better.

    I believe there are two accepted definitions for "double clutching"... one w/ downshifting like gino said (heel and toe) and my dad used to have to "double clutch" his Semi back in the day, somewhat like brianmef outlined... I'll have to ask him about it again since I was too young the first...

    hey... when you had to replace your idler pulley, was it making a really loud, obnoxious, chirping noise at idle that went away when you revved your engine? I think I have the same problem in my escort. :shrug:

    I also like the 99 & 00 side scoops better. I even like the subtlety of the hood "scoop" on the 99 & 00 more than later GTs although I do prefer the later model wing. (the bullitt trunk is best) :flag:
