    Glad you're OK. Personally I was always taught to hit instead of swerve. Sometimes (like in your case) you're kinda f***ed either way. Once again glad no one is seriously injured.

    Since my distributor is now crapping out metal shavings (see other thread), its time for a new one. Anyone have recommendations on what brand to go with or have a P/N? I want one that doesn't require a box, since I can't afford both right now. Thanks for any suggestions.

    Finally got the distributor out of the car today to replace the stator. Anyway, when I turn the shaft manually with the dizzy out of the car, something grinds a little bit, and it appears to be the stator. Also, I dumped some metal shaving out of the dizzy and the main shaft has some play in it...

    I can't really think of much else that an x-pipe and catback could screw up other than your O2 sensors. If the O2's are bad or damaged, they may be giving off bad readings, which wouldn't trip your CE light, but might cause your car to stall out.

    Thought about that. I'm going to get the stator changed first and go from there. I just wanted to throw the idea out there for now. If the stator doesn't change anything then I may do the computer swap....
