    there are 4 bolts on the drivers side of the compressor. also there is a bolt on the back of the compressor that holds the line on it (if i remember right). remove the compressor, then romove the line off of the back and proceed to remove the lines(you'll need the disconnect tools to seperate...

    anybody else? i don't mind a little extra effort with the steering. I think it will be worth the weight loss and cleaner engine bay but i just wanted to hear from some that have made the swap. thanks, scott

    i think your best bang for the buck would be the trick flow package. :nice: i peiced mine together and I could have saves a lot of money if i went with that kit and made near the same power :bang:

    also i know some people run a short belt at the track to bypass the power steering but when my car used to throw the belt i was lucky to turn the wheel 2 inches and that was a struggle. so how are people able to bypass it at the track and its just fine?

    yep, my old style bbk shorties without the one peice flange took me 8 hours to reinstall one day because they warped, i ended up prying them into position to get the bolts in. they were warped a good 1/4 to 1/2 inch though. if yours are warped do the hardest bolts first and then you can pry...

    DO IT! i put my head/cam/intake on with higher milage than that and it is still going strong 30k later. I'm about to throw some boost at it as well, granted i don't know how long it last at the new power level.
