    At 50mph you were able to tell the dog was eating bacon? Anti-lock brakes are for :taco:s. I had a 67 GTX, 440, no ps, no pb, 4 wheel drums. That was an adventure.

    They are orginal seat covers that I had red inserts put in. Basicly everywhere there was a pony (or mustang for V6 seats) I had replaced with the red.

    Just picked thenm up today. $225. I bought a pair of hogring pliers and rings, I hope to start the install this weekend. Im very pleased with the results.

    Valve covers

    The plastic valve covers suck. We cant powdercoat them or do anything to spruce them up. I dont think paint would be very durable. Any ideas on what we can do? I was thinking about a "Powered by Ford" emblem on them, but I think it would be pretty hard to see it.

    Yep, those takeoff sway bars are showing uo all over the place, fr and rr for under $100. My appearence mods should be done by weeks end. Im getting red inserts put in my cloth seats, a 68 Mustang fender script for the dash, MUSTANG stick-on letters for the trunk, and my headrests...

    Ive bought used gears and had no problems. Do a dye test on them to see if any hairline cracks show up.

    Would you buy a Mustang LX?

    In 93 I tried to order a stripped 5.0 LX. Three dealerships told me to forget it, they dont make as much money off base models and they werent going to order a car that doesnt make them money. Forget dreaming about a S-197 LX, isnt going to happen. Heard it here first.

    Dealers have been sending those promos out for years. Top dollar is wholesale, so figure about 5-6K less than you paid. As said, its just a marketing tool to get you to buy a new car.

    Last year I couldnt get a new GT unless I paid 4K over sticker. This year the dealer is jumping on selling me one at x-plan. I have zero interest in a GT500. For the money the Vette is a much better car.

    The 05+ wheels have a 6.295in backspace/45mm offset (39mm on the V6 wheels). the 235-55-17 tires are 27in tall.

    Anyone ever cut a coil off of their springs?..Lowering springs.

    Ive cut springs alot. Back in the old days there wasnt a bunch of companies offering lowering springs at outrageous prices. Cut them 1 coil and see if you like the height and ride. Ive got a set of 94+ new oem springs for my 84. Im going to cut 1 1/2 coils off them and see how it sits...
