Well I am calmed down now from my experience this morning when I came over a hill and a hundred yards away a dog was licking a package of bacon on the edge of the road. I honked my horn so he would run off away and what does he do, runs right in front of me. fricken stupid dog So I slammed on my brakes at fifty and let me tell ya with no abs on my stang I found my self in a spin. I got to admit I was inpressed with how it hugged the road during the skid. I got out expecting to see my back tires riped from the rims but those traction T/A's held up good on dry pavement.
Sure wish I had anti-lock brakes now.

fomoco shame on you for not putting abs on all cars. especially with discs all the way around.

I didn't know cars didn't come with abs brakes. I thought it was standard on all cars now.

On the V6 Stangs its optional. A travesty I know. Glad you are ok though. Mmmmmm bacon.

Yip the dog is OK, I think he was just as shook up as I was cause he was sitting on the other side of the road just staring at me afterwards. I think the bacon come from a dumpster area half a mile away.

I have noticed that anti-lock brakes come in the Pony package on the 06 v6's but yea it's optional.
imo it should be mandatory.

My ABS saved my a$$ several times, once on the freeway doin 80mph and some dick in a truck decided to come into my lane with out signaling and me laying on the horn at him to let him know I was there. Think he was mad cuz I was playing with a vette...not racing just keepin up with him, we were playin who's ahead of who in a decent sort of way, not causing anyone trouble. Can't say enough about the brakes they put on the 05's.
