    cam help?

that stage 2 is too much cam anyhow. Get a stage 1, or even the stocker HO cam will work well with those heads. If your intake is on the motor, andersonfordmotorsports sells a tool that allows you to do a cam swap without having to pull the lower intake...it holds the lifters up while you...

    tremec t-5 problems.. help please

I agree, check the shifter first, back out the shift stops, the drive without both shift boots on, as it could be hanging on a boot. Other than that, it's the syncro, slider or gear itself, or bad shift fork tabs

How to: access rear 1989 Convertible Speakers

LOL, I had a vert for 13 years...I quickly gave up on a radio. With the front speakers being like 2" diameter and the rear speakers buried and muffled by the rear seat, all installed in a noisy ****ing vert, the radio was useless unless I was sitting in a parking lot with the motor off.

feel like I got no power. HELP

oh, it's an aod!!! something else to consider, the aod cars were a full second slower in the 1/4 than the t5 mustangs...they were all rated 16's in the 1/4 and they feel slow. It's quite possible that there is nothing wrong at all with the car. Get your wiring issues all sorted out, then...

do you consider working on you classic a "break from reality or big hassle" ?

I have 4 kids...15, 6,3,1. I have a house with tons of maint on it too. Although sure as hell not 1.5 acres. I find time to restore my 66 mustang, my 77 f150 and my 72 maverick, and the house on occasion. The trick is, as mentioned...set absolutely no time lines. I take weeks break, but in...

    gt40 heads

gt40 and gt40p heads are so close in performance, it doesn't really make a difference....the gt40's however are a lot easier to port if you go that route. gt40 and p heads are probably hands down the most common upgrade in the mustang hobby. However, it is a budget head swap. Aluminum heads...

    Emission help

your print outs are so different than ours however, lets make sure i'm reading this right... your o2 levels are at 9% right? and you have high HC's.... now I'm NOT a smog tech, but my father is, and that's why I know a little. I certainly won't advise you to spend hundreds on cats, but...

    Another Transmission Leak (totally stumped)

sorry, can't comment on that, as I've never had a leak like this. I can tell you that it's possible to install a digital speedo off the vss feed if push comes to shove

    Emission help

what is your o2 level?? that's an essential # and I don't see that. the cats use o2 to get rid of HC....if your o2 is high, meaning anything other than close to 0 and you have high hc, then your cats are suspect.....if you have low o2 and high hc, then the cats are doing their jobs, but the hc...

    Roller block in a 79

efi is cool, but i'd save that for a future project. the block is the same as what's already in the 79...swap over the entire drivetrain from the 88 as is...yank the intake, put your carb on, and drop in the 5.0 and t5 from the 88 as well as the dual hump trans x member so you can run the dual...

    Another Transmission Leak (totally stumped)

vent tubes shouldn't be leaking oil. since you've been able to repeat the problem, and solve it with rtv, i'd say the issue lies in an ill fitting speedo cable/trans speedo cable hole. try installing the speedo cable and rtv it in and see what happens... all speedo cables are built...

    8.8 fitment in 66?

lots of info here to sort out...some accurate, some not... fyi the explorer rear is the exact same width of teh 67-70 rears...so if you leave the offset pumpkin and don't shorten it, it's perfect with 67+ cars the explorer rear is the exact same width of the fox rear too.....in a 65/66 car...
