    Dash Speaker Replacement

Those are some serious subs you guys are talking about. I was looking at a ported powerwedge JL audio box that has one 8"W3v3-4 sub. I just want depth I can hear with my music and this will fit nicely between my rear shock tower brace and the rear seat backs which will still give me most of my...

    Dash Speaker Replacement

Thanks for the info, I will go with the Bostons. I just put the Boston 5X7 in the rear deck and they work great with the kenwood internal deck amplifier.

    Dash Speaker Replacement

I already have some infinity reference 6.5" for the door that I need to put in. I think I will just try the inifinity 3.5" reference dash speakers but crutchfield showed they wouldn't fit. I think I should just get them anyway and do whatever mods are required to fit them in the dash. If they...

    Dash Speaker Replacement

Does anyone know of some good replacements for the 3.5" dash speakers? Do any off the shelf 3.5" speakers fit off the shelf, I was hoping to retain the OEM grill.

    CEL only at WOT? "lean"

Installed ford copper plugs and reset timing to 12*, but still had the lean condition. I did test fuel pressure at idle and it seemed stable. FP no vacuum was 44 psi. With vacuum ~35 psi. I did a compression test also since I was switching the plugs and the lowest cylinder was 110psi and the...

    CEL only at WOT? "lean"

I just removed all the injectors and had them ultrasonically cleaned on an ANSU flow bench so that is why I was questioning the fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump. I am going to try and get a fuel pressure gauge I can put on the rail while I hit the throttle and verfiy pressures at HISSIN...

    CEL only at WOT? "lean"

Good point about the ignition...I think that could be the ticket since it happens at any RPM. I will ditch the platinums this weekend or sooner and go out for some WOT runs. I just clocked the C&L to 1 o'clock and I will see if that has any effect. If I switch the plugs and it still has the...

    CEL only at WOT? "lean"

I did some searches in the archives and it looks like 16* might be a bit much for timing for 92 octane....and also timing settings can vary from car to car. The stock OEM timing is set at 10*. I am wondering if I really have a timing issue since the CEL light comes on and reads lean at WOT...

    CEL only at WOT? "lean"

I got a timing light, removed the spout and checked the base timing. It read exactly at 16 degrees? What timing should I be running for 92 Octane gas??? Thanks, T

    How to drain fuel tank

There should be a fuel pump test switch around or in the same connector you do the code checking self test. If you jumper the +12V at this connector to the fuel pump test line, then you will turn on the pump continuously until you pull the jumper wire. I did this on a Grand National about 1...

    CEL only at WOT? "lean"

Thanks. I didn't pull the cam, but I did mark line up the distributor to #1 plug before I pulled it. I am not sure if it was TDC of #1, but I know the distributor was pointing to #1...so I think this is the same thing? I rotated the engine to 0 degrees and marked the distributor casing with a...

    CEL only at WOT? "lean"

I have been getting code 41 & 91 at WOT since I installed a GT40 intake, BBK TB, and C&L inlet tube. The funny thing is the code only appears when the pedal is mashed all the way to the floor regardless of RPM. I was thinking this maybe a fuel pressure issue or delivery volume issue, but I...

    Need help running lean

I have a similiar issue... At wot my check engine light illuminates but as soon as I let off it goes out. I am probably going to replace the pump and regulator since I already replaced fuel filter, o2 sensors and had injectors cleaned. My problem showed up after my intake swap. Codes 91 & 41...

    MSD coil 4 OEM replacement

I just removed the stock coil and realized it was broken at the connection point. The OEM and MSD are the same attachment style. The OEM coil I had snapped off inside the spack plug wire and that is why it looked funny and didn't fit the MSD.

    H Pipe or X-Pipe?

I would go H pipe for classic sound. Not sure if the X sounds different at idle, but I would easily give up a few horsepower for the muscle car idle sound!

    MSD coil 4 OEM replacement

I looked online at 5.0 resto and the picture they have of the OEM coil look in the MSD coil I recieved. I think the previous owner must have installed a different coil than OEM, maybe a universal. I found a local auto parts store that sells MSD wire and some cheap crimplers....I will...

    MSD coil 4 OEM replacement

Does your coil terminal look the same as the one in the picture on the link that liquid posted? My OEM coil does not, maybe it was changed by someone else at some point because it is a smaller square post....similar to a large spade connector. My MSD coil has the round, bowling pin shaped...

    MSD coil 4 OEM replacement

It says Blaster Ford TFI MSD P/N 8227. I think they recently changed the coil design as mine is all red and one piece molded plastic. The coil has all the same mounting points and features but the only difference is the iginition wire terminal. I think the older MSD design used to have the...

    MSD coil 4 OEM replacement

I just got done trying to install the latest MSD blaster coil (red plastic molded one) in my notch. Took out the OEM coil, installed the MSD, thought I was all done until the ignition wire coming from the distributor didn't fit the coil terminal? The OEM coil had a small square tab terminal...
