    what does an EGR plate do?

    Yes , it will work fine with your AOD . Your TV cable and throttle linkage hook to the TB . just make sure you get a 65mm TB to match that EGR spacer .

    swapping out stock cam

    I will be running a similiar combo with Thumper ported GT-40p's , Cobra intake , 1.7rr's and will be going with the trickflow Stage1 cam . I shouldnt have any issues using this cam but will still be checking pushrod length . It would be a shame to do all that work for nothin.
