Idle speed won't go below 1500 while moving

Thanks for the info. I have seen those threads, and it makes a lot of sense. I did actually get mine from AM. They've been unresponsive to my emails over the last 3 days asking for help on this issue though... I guess I'll have to call them to get the return sorted out. Thanks, Jim

Idle speed won't go below 1500 while moving

Swapped back to my stock TB/plenum and problems solved immediately! No computer reset or week of driving or weird workarounds. 100% back to normal idle speed (700-800) and no haning RPMs. I noticed that my stock TPS is set to .94 volts which seems low according to the Accufab...

Idle speed won't go below 1500 while moving

Thanks again for the replies. I don't have a link to the intake spacer anymore. I got it about 4 years ago. My JLT is the ram air one which doesn't relocate the filter or MAF. Only thing JLT said to do was get rid of the MAF screen. It's a shame to return it, but I can't live with...

Idle speed won't go below 1500 while moving

I initially set the TPS to .98 and double checked after tightening it down. I'll check it again along with the throttle cable. If something were wrong with the cable or tps, then wouldn't it be misbehaving when the car is stopped also? The spacer wasn't necessarily for the hanging rpms...

Idle speed won't go below 1500 while moving

99 Mustang GT. Previously had stock air intake, TB, and plenum with 1/2 inch aluminum spacer between Plenum and intake. Idled perfectly - rpms dropped quickly and stayed there. Originally installed spacer and that cured the idle hanging in the stock system for me. Just installed Accufab...

    KW CoilOver Suspension

Anyone have the KW Coilover suspension - variant 1? I've heard a few good things about them in magazines, but I was trying to find some real people experiences. The guys at my local race shop said they love them. Might be a little overkill on my daily driver, but I placed my order anyway...

Anyone have Niche Performance (NPI) hood?

Wow, loudog_jon , that really sucks. Thanks for letting me know. I was just about to order too, thanks for replying. Did you get a fiberglass or carbon fiber one? How long ago was this? This is going to seem like a stupid question, but aside from terrible shipping/packing, horrible...

Anyone have Niche Performance (NPI) hood?

Other than fitment issues... anyone have problems with water getting in? With or without the cover on? Also, does the cover screw directly into fiberglass... or are there nuts in there to anchor/reinforce it?

Anyone have Niche Performance (NPI) hood?

http://www.nichepi.com/94-04mustang.htm I've heard a lot of stories about them, but nothing first hand. Has anyone ordered one of their cobra 2000 NPI functional heat extractor hoods... carbon or fiberglass? The vents can be closed underneath. Just wondering how it worked... notice any...

Defective tire stem - is my tire ok?

Thanks for the replies. They were all new rims tires and valve stems. All new. I can't really see any visable damage on the outside. I'll drop by the shop this week and see what they can do about it. Thanks, Jim

Defective tire stem - is my tire ok?

So 1 month ago, I got new tires and wheels (BBS RK 17x9 with 275 Kumho on all 4). When I pulled out of the garage on Saturday, the car felt sluggish and the rear left tire looked a little low. I had to run some errands and figured I could fill it up at the gas station by the grocery store...

Odd Sounds When Making Tight Turns

Has anyone ever installed "clunk washers" on their Mustang to get rid of a similar symptom?

Does anyone make a smooth hood for 99-04 GT?

The stock ones have the fake scoop and a lot of after market have the cowl. Late cobras do have the functional heat extractor. I was wondering if anyone made a smooth hood for 99-04? No scoop or bumps or cowls or vents? Kind of like the 94-98 style hood? I saw this Bondo item at the store...

Would the Mach tubing/seal fit under a GT hood?

Thanks for the replies. That's what I was thinking (connecting the tubing to a hole cut in the stock GT hood). I thought the mach tubing had water drains in them already. If they don't then yeah... I'd be asking for trouble with water damage. Thanks, Jim

Would the Mach tubing/seal fit under a GT hood?

Anyone ever try to fit the Mach shaker plumbing under the stock GT hood? I'm not even sure that the shaker part that sticks up through the hood is separate from the black plastic tubing that routes down to the air filter. So I guess that's 2 questions. Does the tubing come separate? And will...

Interest in a simpler KarKraft functional hood scoop?

I just emailed them about this the other day. Asked if they would ever produce any more. All they said was: "no sorry. those are all gone. kk"

    Alignment after getting wider wheels?

Go for which? Getting the wheels without the alignment? Or go for the alignment? Don't want to spend $ on an alignment if I don't have to. Thanks, Jim

17" BBS RX or BBS RK: looking for photos of

The guys at a local shop (BBS dealer) swears that 17x9 RX will fit on my car... but TireRack seems to disagree. I have the Bullit/Cobra front brakes installed, but the shop says they'll fit no problem. Any advice? Thanks, Jim

    Alignment after getting wider wheels?

I've got a 99 GT with stock 17x8 wheels. Should I get an alignment after putting on 17x9? I know it can't hurt (except my wallet)... but I just had one at the beginning of the summer so it's not like it needs it now. Thanks, Jim

17" BBS RX or BBS RK: looking for photos of

Just about made up my mind on new wheels. I have a 1999 GT with stock wheels. Was looking for something light with that FR500/spider pattern. The BBS RX 17x9 are pretty light and within my budget. But I can't find any pics of Mustangs with them? Thanks, Jim
