    5spd or auto?

    If you go with automatic, you'll probably end up switching to a T-5. I would sell the auto trans a buy a T-5. The smiles per gallon is higher with manual.

    I would get the world class T-5. Probably better in the long run and not that much more expensive. I have a world class t-5 in my '67 with a mild 289 and I like it.

    Not GM. Its a modified Isuzu steering box. The pump is a saginaw pump used on many GM vehicles. I bought the kit from borgeson, without the upgraded pump. I'm going to install it over Christmas break and see how the stock pump fairs. If its not to my liking I'll get a saginaw pump.

    Borgeson Conversion On '67

    I'm going to get the kit for power steering, install it, and see how it feels with the stock pump. The pump is brand new (5 months old), so it might be OK. If I don't like it I will get the Saginaw pump and fittings from summit and the bracket from Borgeson.

    belt misalignment? wrong belt on wrong pulley, happened to me once. I also had a belt that was riding on the on the outside of the crankshaft pulley.
