    pushrods

Yes, they will probably work but there is a process to go through to check for the correct length. I would start out at the number one cylinder when it is at top dead center. Slide the pushrod in, install the rocker, as you hand tighten the bolt on the rocker rotate the pushrod with your other...

    broken motor mounts?

Just don't buy the conv. mounts from CJ Pony or Napa. I just had to send both of the drivers side(left) motor mounts back. Neither one of them would fit. There is an issue with the side closest to the oil filter. The mount hits against the block before you can line up the bolt hole.

    Gasket Kit or seperate?

I just went through this. If you had the intake or heads ported then you need to buy them separate. If it's stock you should be okay with a felpro kit. I had to buy separate due to gasket matching the ported items. I bought my oil pump and heavy duty shaft from Latemodel Resto Supply, but...

    How embarrassing is this???

I did notice the air holes and thought it was going to be a big deal. I don't know why I got so confused. I guess I will be okay. Thanks for bringing me to my senses.

    How embarrassing is this???

I've been cruising along with my H/C/I swap. I put my heads on yesterday. Today I threw in the lifters, pushrods and finished up with the roller rockers. I proudly take a few pics of my work. Then it finally hits me like a ton of bricks. The heads are on backwards!! :bang:

    Help me clean my shortblock?

What is the best way to clean a shortblock? Right now the block is sitting on my engine stand. I want to clean it up before I install the new cam and heads. I already scraped off all the old gasket material. Any suggestions on removing the old oil and debris. I want to make sure I won't...

Help! What Brand are these Rockers?

I think they must be summit or something similar. I guess I should get some new ones because I am getting the upgraded springs for the Thumper heads. Thanks for the replies.

Help! What Brand are these Rockers?

The reason why I ask is because I have ordered a custom cam and the grinder was asking what brand rockers I have. I guess they would be okay as long as they're 1.6:shrug:

I've got a slight "engine" vibration, any ideas?

I guess mine wasn't the tranny after all. It is definately something internal. Either wrong balancing between the crank and balancer or a messed up crank. I will be tearing my engine down soon to figure it out. good luck with yours. I've just about replaced everything but the motor at this point.

    T5 Help

Finally figured it out. Thanks for the input. There is a small nick where the bearing rides on the input shaft. The more pressure put on it in the higher rpm's would cause the vibration. So aggravating, well atleast now I have a new driveshaft, balancer, clutch kit, mounts....

I've got a slight "engine" vibration, any ideas?

Have you figured it out? I'm having a similar problem. I pulled the tranny out last week and everything was fine. I replaced the clutch, pilot bearing, and resurfaced the flywheel just in case. I started the engine with the tranny out to check if the flywheel would wobble or something, but it...

Thanks for the replies. It's worse in 1st and 2nd gear. I will be pulling the tranny back out this weekend and checking inside. I drained the fluid tonight and it had a metallic look to it.

    T5 Help

I have an '86 Mustang GT. I bought it with a nasty vibration above 3K rpm's. What I have replaced; harmonic balancer, tranny mount, driveshaft, clutch kit w/ pilot bearing, and resurfaced the flywheel. All of this helped but it still vibrates through the shifter above 3k rpm's. It's driving...
