    exhaust question

Mufflers are all a matter of opinion, but an H-pipe gives a deeper growl, and an X pipe gives a cleaner, smoother, racier sound. I prefer the X for sound, not to mention performance. Go to www.drgas.com for more information about the benefits of the X. :nice:

    Cats or no Cats

If you can in your state and still pass, lose the cats and it will be loud ...if not, get a Hi-flow cat X-pipe or something ...2 hi flows are louder than the 4 or 6 stock cats. I have the catted X with original 40 series flows and it sounds great ...you can hear me coming ...no cats would be...

you already have 4 more cylinders ...you need the sound that will let them know it

    catalytic converter

If you get rid of the cats and get headers, get an X pipe ...you won't regret it ...long tubes, x-pipe and flowmasters sound so bad ass

    catalytic converter

your 1/4 will be better with the 3.73s, but not by much. I mean afterall, its just torque you got ....same HP as before ...Definetly feels like a big boost though over stock ..but don't think it shaves seconds off your time or anything like that

    catalytic converter

stock 6 cat H-pipes suck, but if you have an X or H with 2 hi-flow cats, there isnt much difference at all ....slightly quieter and slightly more restrictive, but not by far - maybe a few horses ...hiflow cats are built good. So if you live in a place that requires emission, just get 2 hi flows...

    1996 GT performance

I just got a '96 GT too ...I got an X-pipe and flows so far ...gonna get gears soon ... how do the 3.73s feel? what rpms are you runnin at 70 mph? As far as the headers, you'll pick up 10+ horses I'd say, and they sound mean ..I wanna get them eventually, but I like how mine sounds already...

    flowmaster mufflers

I'm not saying that Flowmaster makes the best flowing mufflers out there, I'm just saying that you are not going to lose any power by putting them on your car. But when it comes to a few horses difference, I would gladly sacrafice a few for the superior sound that flowmaster has. If you are...

    flowmaster mufflers

:bs: You will not lose rwhp with flowmasters. They wouldn't design them like they do if that was the case. I think Flowmaster knows a little more about exhaust than most of us do. They flow a lot better than the stock mufflers and sound better than other mufflers too.

Any idea at why my car makes a weird noise at 2k RPM's?

I don't think it has anything to do with the air intake since it only does it the first couple accelerations of the day ...it almost sounds like something rubbing ..but has a really hollow whistle tone to it ...hard to describe ...does it at around 2,300 rpms just for a second as you pass...

anyone have the american thunder ctaback?

Hey just be aware that if you buy the american thunder cat back it has the delta flow 40s ...not just the regular old 40 series ...if you want them you need to buy the mufflers and the tails seperatly ...dont know why Flowmaster did that.. Oh ...and if you are getting the american thunder -...

    flowmaster mufflers

as far as the Flowmasters ...you're backpressure will decrease over stock, but not a whole lot ...afterall ..too much wouldnt be good either ...and the awesome sound makes it more than worth it and by the way, get X with flows ...sounds smoother and racier than the H :nice:

Any idea at why my car makes a weird noise at 2k RPM's?

Sometimes I just go out 10 minutes before I leave to start my car and let it idle and warm up ...and that usually eliminates the sound when I'm driving ...but I still would like to know what it is ...don't always have 10 minutes to let it warm up ...I hate hearing it
