    test drive - '01 Cobra

Yeah I know ...my car is still slow, but with the 4.10s it doesn't "feel" slow - which is kinda what he's talking about. All about the SOTP feeling.

    test drive - '01 Cobra

Throw those 4.10s in and your car will really "feel" fast. :nice:

    Low Oil Light??

My low oil light comes on from time to time when the oil level is fine. I heard that the '96s had a problem with the sensor or something. From what i've read on stangnet, others with a '96 have had the same problem...

    test drive - '01 Cobra

It's all about the seat of the pants feel ...every v8 mustang that I've driven "feels" quick, but its not until you line it up with another car that you see if its actually fast

    Catback

If your plans were for the Dr. Gas X pipe, GET IT! It is the best sounding midpipe/Flowmaster combo I have ever heard on a GT. And the rasp you are hearing about is mostly due to the mufflers. Chambered mufflers like Flowmaster tend to have a metallic raspy tone to them since there is no...

    Quick Question

Ah, what he meant by entire assembly was it comes with the throttle body, injectors, etc. You would still need adapter plates for the pi intake to fit with non-pi heads. Or you could do the RTV method ...still need some additional parts too. You could probably just buy a new PI manifold...

    Quick Question

By intake swap, they probably mean just the PI intake manifold, not the heads. However, if it was the heads and intake, $300 would be a great deal and you should follow up on it. If its just the intake manifold, you can get a brand new one for $190. The best thing would be to ask the guy what...

New 4.6L Owner, have some n00b questions...

Do the gears first. Very inexpensive compared to the PI swap. Once you learn to drive without spinning too much, 4.10s would knock around .4 or so off your 1/4. I would do that before the headswap and see how you like the feel. Then decide if you really want to toss $1200+ more into it...

DR GAS X PIPE vs Bassani X pipe

Although I don't think it would be worth it to switch (especially since it requires welding), the Dr. Gas X is the best sounding mid-pipe for a stang IMO. But if you really want to spend the time and money, go for it and you won't be disappointed. The reason it would sound different than the...

just got home from the track

Computer typo maybe? Because your first run you were at 95 mph for your 15.025. Sounds like you were at 97 mph instead of 77 mph for your 14.927

    Exhaust Notes

Well in that case, I don't know - as far as midpipes go, the Prochamber gives a nice hollow metallic sound, but you already have it. I agree, you probably won't be able to get much more hollower than what you have.

    Exhaust Notes

Chambered mufflers (like Flowmaster) make just about the most hollow sound you can get

    Fix your Slow dropping/hanging RPMs

I also got a plate from magnum 347 ...works well and downshifting actually slows me down now. Decelleration is a lot louder as mentioned - more pops and bangs. Does take a little driving time to get used to it. All in all, definetly worth it if your hanging rpms are annoying you.

    Longtube headers

Yep, 96 - 98 GTs had non-PI intake manifolds and heads. Basically non-PI cars stop pulling after 4 grand :nonono: , where as the 99+ keep on going strong
