I have a 98 gt with magnaflow magnapaks and I was thinking of getting bbk longtubes and not sure which midpipe. a bbk x or h? And how much would the headers and mid pipe change the sound? I really like the way the packs sound and dont want to change that sound too much.

thanks

you should be in the neighborhood of 20rwhp with going to lt's & a mid pipe. i gained 19rwhp with mac longtubes & a prochamber on a MUSTANG dyno. if i had been on a dynojet it would prolly been around 23-25 rwhp

sorry that's on my 03.........on my 98gt i gained 13 rwhp (mustang dyno also) if i remember correctly (dont' hold me to that, it's been a few years since i've had that car) same exhaust setup with mac longtubes & prochamber

This may sound like a dumb question but why is the 98 hp lower then the 03. Does this have something to do with the 98 being npi?

never any dumb questions............. *remembers where he is*........ummmmmmm nevermind. but that's not a stupid question :D

that would be the exact reason, the 03 has better flowing heads which = better HP numbers :nice:

Yep, 96 - 98 GTs had non-PI intake manifolds and heads. Basically non-PI cars stop pulling after 4 grand :nonono: , where as the 99+ keep on going strong
