Is this the correct part number for an Optima battery?

Oh sweet, thanks for the link. Now do you guys know what the differnece is between a 34/78 from a 73/35? Except of course, the measurement differences. And by notch, what exactly should I do? I think I know what to do but then again, better safe then sorry. Thanks guys.

Is this the correct part number for an Optima battery?

Hey guys, mine crapped out this week and I'm in need of a new one. Since the old one is toast, better upgrade to something nice, right? Now is the correct part number for our cars 34/78? And is that the same part number for both the red top AND the yellow top? Lastly, this will slide into...

275/40's all around.....good idea or not?

Oh, so the 275's provide more traction because it's a fatter tire? Also, illwood, does your front wheels stick out a bit or are they nestled in just right? I've heard people say they stick out and others say they're fine. Another opinon never hurts! Thanks again everyone.

275/40's all around.....good idea or not?

illwood, thanks for reminding me why I just bought those today. And thank you all for your replies. I'm 98% set on the 275 but for comparison sake, how would they compare to the 255/45's all around both visually different and the difference in handling/ride quality? Thank you all for...

275/40's all around.....good idea or not?

My car is stock ride height, but I do plan to lower it. Not right now, but in the future. I can lower a car with 275/40, correct? And I'm assuming it's a noticable drop, both visually, and improved steering? Green GT, yeah, when I need a big decision, I usually post the same question on two...

275/40's all around.....good idea or not?

So I'm shopping for tires and would love to hear what the other fellow 94-95 owners say about this set up. I orginally was going to go with 275/40 in the back and 255/45 in the front, but since I can't rotate my tires, which will make them last a lot longer, I was thinking the same size all...

Alternator died....what should I get for a replacement?

Doing good man! School just let out so I'm done with studying and writing paper and other crap like that until August. It's nice to finally take a damn break. How you doing man? Everything cool I assume? Regarding the thread, I might just stick with a 130. I don't see myself getting...

Alternator died....what should I get for a replacement?

So if I get the 200 one, I have to change out some wires correct? How hard is that exactly? I'd hate to screw up something. Thanks.

Alternator died....what should I get for a replacement?

My car died on the highway today due to a bad alternator so I was either thinking about getting a 130 or a 200 amp one from PA. My question is what one should I get? I know the 200 is better suited for cars with stereos and such, but exactly how much power should be one draining to require a...

    Need help ASAP....quick coolant question

Okay, I went out to the car tonight to see what you guys were talking about. I finally saw the overflow feed line...it it wasn't any closer to the radiator cap, it would of smacked me in the face, lol. I tried to loosen the top bolt that is right by the plastic cap and it was loosened with...

    Need help ASAP....quick coolant question

You lost me, lol. I went a looking just now and it felt like it was just a plastic jug that's bolted in. I felt around the bottom of the plastic jug and it there was nothing I could see I could unplug. No wires, no bolts, nothing. Just the jug. However, I kinda shook it and it felt like...

    Need help ASAP....quick coolant question

Hey guys, I'd like to get this done before it gets dark. I also have work in the morning so I hope someone can help me out really quickly. So far I installed a new T-stat (leaking just a little bit though..I put a lot of RTV near the bottom, hopefully that stops it. Think will work?) and...

What's required to replace battery cables?

I did a little researching and it seemed like the #1 gauge wire is the right wire to get...is that's correct? Lastly, does anybody have an approx. on the price? I've seen anywhere between $10 to $85. Thanks again.

What's required to replace battery cables?

Ok, if the negative leads to the starter, where does the positive go? The postive gets changed as well, I'm guessing? And is there a particular sized cable to get? I saw different size gauge cables and I have no clue what the right one to get is. One more thing. Where would you suggest I...

What's required to replace battery cables?

My moms 94 V6 stang keeps having a dead battery every morning frequently and I'm beginning to suspect it might be the cables, since I basically replaced everyting else. Now, I doubt it's nothing terribly difficult, but I've never done it. Can you give me some hints, tips, tricks? What are...

    Newbie coolant flushing question

Thanks for the link, it cleared up a lot of my questions. But there is one thing I'm not sure of. How do I purge the cooling system of air pockets? The term that was mentioned before, "burping" I'm guessing means the same thing. How do you do it exactly? Lemme take a wild guess and see if...

    speedo gear?

Don't mean to hijack, but I have a speedo related question. I have a 95 GT with 3.73 gears. Now I know that the white 23 speedo gear will be the closest without changing the drive gear but exactly how off would it be? 1-2 mph? If it's something that minuscule, I won't bother. But if I...

    Newbie coolant flushing question

Hey man, I read your reply again and wasn't 100% sure on what you meant for these steps. What is the 'normal' spout' in the front of my car? The plastic coolant tank that says FULL COLD and FULL HOT? So the place where I put my coolant/distilled water mix is inside the radiator, by removing...

    Newbie coolant flushing question

Thanks for the tips, it's appreciated. :) I totally forgot about my thermostat, lol. Is the best one for a daily driver a 180* one? Preferebly made by Mr. Gasket? I only have two questions. Does someone sell it locally, like Autozone or something, and how difficult of an install are we...
