A/C cycling too much, too noisy?

I noticed the quick cycling on my car as well. It's not really a problem though, that's how it's supposed to work. There is a high and a low pressure point for the A/C system. When it reaches the low point, the compressor kicks on. When it reaches the high point, it kicks off. That's how it works.

    Should I encourage II ownership?

The way I see it, there is no reason to try to make people get into IIs. People don't find IIs, IIs find people :). We don't need to talk people into buying one. If you do that, and they have a bad experiance, then they'll like the car even less than they did before. I think it's fine...

    Mustang photos

Denice, don't let some negative feedback scare you away. You'll find most internet sites will have that kind of stuff. You need to have a thick skin to survive here. Especially with II owners. Remember, it's a two way site, you can give it back too :). Heck, if everyone left here the first time...

    Trunk Mounted Battery, Anyone?

One thing that comes to mind.... The 05 Mustang is built off the Lincoln LS platform, and the LS uses a trunk mount battery. It might be worth looking into, to see if the tray/hardware and cable harness may make the install easier/cleaner.

    Your First II

Looks like 16 might be the magic number :). I got my first II at 16 also. Was a red/white Ghia, 302/C4 car. Paid $150 for it from a friend's dad. Gave it a tune up and fluid change, and it ran awesome. Was hooked from there on :D .

PSP 05 Cobra on the Dyno

Bigcat, the 05 has variable cam timing, which is computer controlled. So we can adjust the cam timing via the tune. Moondog, it does all fit under the stock hood, but it's still tight. Halflife, I will have your PSP intake setup and SCT tuner ready for you this week. Just gotta swing by...

need to add fluid to auto 05 tranny...HOW?

The drain plug is two stage, it has a center plug into the middle of it. You need a special fluid pressure tool and you hook it to the center of the plug. Fluid gets forced up into the pan, and then you let it drip out till it stops. Then it's full. Yes, it sucks.

PSP 05 Cobra on the Dyno

Well, had a some free time today so I finally got the 05 on the dyno. First I pulled the plugs out and gapped them down to .030 using a special gapper I whipped up for the unique 3v plugs. Spent some good time trying different timing settings with the variable cam and all, and I am happy with...

BMR Race Lower Control Arm Install

Cleveland, my Eibachs didn't come with any snubbers  . As for the control arms, I didn't mean to make it sound like the BMRs were junk or anything. The other guy commented on why I sell the Metcos, and there are attributes about them that I feel are worth the extra money. The BMRs...

? for 06 owners Re: Gas Cap and BP Branding

I don't really see this as a big deal. So it says BP on the gas cap. People will use whatever gas they want. Most gas all comes from the same plants anyway. The only exception to this that I know of is- all Hess gas, Amoco's 93 Ultimate (which is now BP), and Sunoco's 94 Ultra (which is...

BMR Race Lower Control Arm Install

Yes you can only adjust the upper link, but that's the one that sets your pinion angle. You could do it with the lower links, but then you have to worry about keeping the rear square from side to side with adjustable lowers. Nothing wrong with that, just one more thing to have to do though...

BMR Race Lower Control Arm Install

Oh, one more tip for lowered 05s... You need to cut off the first level of the urethane snubber on the axle. Otherwise you will bottom out on it on launch, and that's not good for traction either :D .

BMR Race Lower Control Arm Install

We use the Metco billet control arms, with the relocation mounts. The Metcos are nice because they use an aluminum bushing in on one end, and a urethane one on the other end. So you don't get the clacking sound of a rod end. The other thing that should be mentioned, is that the rear...

Finding Your PCM / EEC Code

The PCM is right next to the fuse box under the hood. It has a small white sticker on the side with a 4 digit code. That's the one :).

Will 03 cobra wheels fit an 05?

They fit, but they will stick out a bit. There are several people here who can show you pics of them on their cars. We have 18x9 03 Cobra replicas on our 05, but I shaved some material off the hub pad to move them in more.

    Fastback Hatch Gap?

Another idea would be to weld in the hatch and glass area, and fabricate a small deck lid from the glass to the rear of the car. Sort of like the old 69 Charger 500 (which was used to make the Daytona) had. This way you'd have access to the immediate rear of the car and also spoiler mounting.

    Saleen blower is on

I have not had a chance to get it on my dyno yet. The shop has been too busy, and I am here till late at night doing customer work most days as it is. Aside from that, I need to drop the gap down on the plugs before I go WOT with the car, and I haven't gotten the gapper tool from ATI yet. So...
