Well, had a some free time today so I finally got the 05 on the dyno. First I pulled the plugs out and gapped them down to .030 using a special gapper I whipped up for the unique 3v plugs.

Spent some good time trying different timing settings with the variable cam and all, and I am happy with the end result. The car pulls like crazy. These 3v heads are just AWESOME. I let off at 6200 just for fear of the bottom end coming apart, but you can see on the dyno graph that it just wants to keep going up. The Saleen/Lysholm performed just as I expected (I have experiance with these blowers anyway).

Final numbers are 430.86/405.70 SAE and 440.57/414.85 STD. Air temp was 90.8F, 37% humidity, and 30.0 on the barometer. Not the best day for making power, but that's what we have now.

Keep in mind that our combo is very simple. Saleen blower with a 3.4 pulley (stock is 4.0), PSP air intake/MAF setup, and a Bassani axle back. That's IT. Stock manifolds, stock cats, stock TB, stock everything else. For tuning, we added some 39lb injectors and a MAFia to extend the MAF range (only hit 4.15 at 6k).

Attached is the graph from the final pull. Enjoy!!

i love that air/fuel curve, that is probably the flattest one i have seen yet. looks like a good tune!!!! numbers sound ok, and its hot, but i would have thought that it would have been slightly higher with the smaller pulley???? whats the normal sallen charger putting up for numbers? dont get me wrong, i am not complaining about the numbers, i am just trying to understand all points of the mods, and not just one point.....

also, how do you adjust the cam timing? i saw a thread on another forum that a competitor of yours is "working an a cam for the 3v motor" (maybe some day they will actually get it to the market) and they said there is 30 hp in adjusting the variable cam timing......

Hey Sal - great numbers! _ Was wondering - everything fit ok under the stock hood right? Any idea how much clearance you need? I am thinking about adding the RK Sport hood - and down the road the saleen sc. Would hate to find out that I don't have room under the hood.

Bigcat, the 05 has variable cam timing, which is computer controlled. So we can adjust the cam timing via the tune.

Moondog, it does all fit under the stock hood, but it's still tight.

Halflife, I will have your PSP intake setup and SCT tuner ready for you this week. Just gotta swing by the powdercoaters and pick up the intake tubes.

Sal, u da man! Powder coat mine Silver if possible!
Don't forget about the Lightning too!!!

Sal, i've got the Saleen blower on the way & am wondering if I use the 39lb injectors & 90mm MAF & get a custom pulley made 3.4 then I can get a sct2 from you with a tune & i'd get close to same results?
