    I got her to idle alright, but she hangs more than I want her to. she hangs around 100 rpms then drops around 700. What must I adjust to fix this problem? do I need to play whit the idle ajustment screw or the throttle stop? thanks, tom

    boy do I feel dumb, I was adjusting my throttle stop with a pliers. The Tb screw did help but I still have a hanging Idle when I take it out of gear. could monkeying around with the stop screw cause this? if so how would i reset this to stock. I heard about that screw but could never find it...

    sounds more like your mechanic set you idle to factory specs. you can aways test the resistance of the tps with a digital multimeter. You chilton manual should tell you how, but you just move the throttle linkage slowly and if there is any jumps in resistance than you need to replace the tps...

    ok first I will try to up my idle to 900 from 700 I have it at now and see if that makes a difference. if all else fail i may have to go with a chip. BTW what chip companies do you guy recommend or have experience with. thanks
