    Limited Slip or Lockers?

That depends on what you already have. If you already have a 9", 28 spline, rear, you can most likely dig up a used (posi of some type) differential real cheap and install your new gears into it... If or when you break it, you can then buy the new stuff and not be out much money over the long...

    steel bradied brake lines....

Its most likely not an issue of brake hoses or certainly not firewall flex that is bothering them. They have probably either not driven a manual brake car for a very long time, if ever. It always takes me a few miles to get used to my '66 coupe manual brakes, after driving my '03 Mach 1...

    Master cylinder/proportioning valve?

Just order a generic adjustable proportioning valve from NPD, Mustangs Unlimited, Dallas Mustangs, etc. All the adjustable PV work fine.

    Limited Slip or Lockers?

Usedtobe: There is a very big world off difference between the two... and bad info doesn't make friends. I've never used the Torsen piece, but have heard elsewhere its a good compromise. 69Rcode: Check GEFRacing.com for the gears and Ford Trac-Lok (which is rebuildable). They have some...

Stock disk brake lines fit stock drum car?

The hard lines to the master cylinder have a different size flare fitting. The hoses are different since they connect to the calipers with banjo bolts. You can use the original front distribution block, since it only serves to branch the fluid to left and right sides. If you have the money...

    anyone have a pic...

I think you might have headers for a 351W, from what you describe. Those suckers are nearly impossible to install and even worse to change plugs around. Plus...they're not for your car!

    quartz headlights on 1966 mustang

Yup...that's right! It took me awhile to figure that out when I changed my headlights. Put the lights and dimmer on relay circuits and you'll be working fine. I'm sure if you search, you'll find a more definitive explanation and possibly a link to some wiring diagrams.

suggestions for removing tar like substance from floors

Adhesive stripper will help... for sure it will take up the glue and should break down the tar, so it can be scraped off. Any left over tar, can be cleaned up pretty well with mineral spirits. You still need to sandblast, sand, or use a wire wheel to get the reside completely out, so it can...

    Optima battery opinions..

I have the yellow top and and it saved my bacon on a trip where the alternator went out, without me noticing. It kept the electric fan running long enough for me to get safely off the highway...about 30 minutes. The only reason I noticed was that it got time to turn on the headlights and they...

    Power brakes / Cam Question

Check your vacuum off the intake mainfold. If its not at 16 or better, you'll have a difficult time geeting enough vacuum to operate the booster. I've got a very similar cam in my '66 302 and only get a reading of about 10. I can't operate power brakes and need an anchor off an aircraft...

    How much is it worth

Its really impossible to answer. Any rust? Floor pans maybe? Trunk? Cowl leak? How's the glass? scratched or delaminated? There are a million considerations and even then it depends on your locality and finally what someone is willing to pay. You might find a local Mustang club, or...

What are you worried about? If you get hit that hard, the explosion from the gas tank is gonna kill you pretty quick, anyway! :) Just in case you are concerned about your life and on the outside chance that you get a fuel cell... you should lengthen the wires to mount it in the trunk... the...

So the brakes grab pretty good now but...

The pedal isn't adjustable and you should be able to slip your non-braking under the pedal when you have the brakes fully applied. You did bleed the master cylinder before installing it, didn't you? First try bleeding the brakes again... in the correct order (RR-LR-RF-LF). You might also...

    Best motor options?

Might be cheaper to just buy the Mark VII and fix it up.... nothing wrong wilth tooling around town in a Linclon! :D On a more serious note... you should first be certain the 302 block is good and solid. If you plan on using a power adder, you really need to rebuild with forged...
