Will an explorer intake be enough?

I appreciate that tmoss. I have ported my stock lower with success, so I have a pretty good idea of what I am doing. I am still just wondering about whether or not I will run into problems getting an explorer intake that does not have the internal egr passages. Its slim pickin around here.

Will an explorer intake be enough?

I only have a visual inspection for my emissions testing, so I don't need to worry about having the egr passages. I was just wondering whether or not I would have any problems since I may find a good deal on one without the egr. Mike, say I would happen to get a cobra intake(pretty much...

Will an explorer intake be enough?

Sounds good. My plan was to try and just smooth the bend on the #1 and 5 cylinders to try to even out flow numbers a bit. Nothing too drastic though. But for the egr......if I purchase an intake that has no internal egr, will I have to eliminate the egr, or will it just block coolant flow...

    Calipers.. cheap upgrade?

They can be used with the stock master cylinder correct? I thought I remembered reading a site about rotating a shaft or something inside the master cylinder, but now I can't find it.

Will an explorer intake be enough?

I've been looking to buy one recently, but don't want to be dissappointed with the performance. It will be going with ported e7's(bowl work, egr bump removed, smoothed, etc.) that had gt40 1.84"intake and 1.54"exhaust valve machined into them. They will have a 3 angle valve job on them as well...

I know I can use an alternator from some years of the taurus, but I don't know which ones. Everyone says to use a taurus alternator, but nobody gives me specific years. Anybody know?

Getting a Bigger alternator from junkyard, which one to get???

Just wondering, what vehicles come with a 3g alt that can swap into a fox? What year/make/model are they? I am going to the junkyard soon, and will most likely not be able to find a 94-up mustang there, so what other alternatives do I have?

Just wondering, whats the best intake for a stock 5.0???

Perhaps, but he was referring to a "stock" 5.0. The holly or tfs r intakes would be major overkill, and he would probably hurt performance more than he would gain. With the stock heads not flowing more than what, 160 cfm intake side, I would look into a tmoss ported lower intake. If you do...

Questions About Tires For A Daily Driver

These aren't on the list, but I think that the Sumitomo HTR Z's are good bang for the buck. Tire rack has them for about the same price as the Kuhmo's I think. I don't really have much experience with any on the list, but the Sumitomos hook great and have good manners in the rain. However, you...

Has anyone installed the Holly Systemax from summit

I have heard the heads are decently made. I always heard that it is the cam that does not fit the kit very well. It has been redesigned, but from what I have heard, it still lacks a lot of low end. Anyway, I have heard a lot of good things about the trick flow kit, many people seem to be happy...

Would it be worth the effort to install E7s on my motor?

http://www.cmc.net/~xero/Mousesporting.html Gives tons of information about it. If you have a dremel and some good carbide bits, then you are all set. Sure it might take a little longer than having an air grinder, but the results will pay off.

    Junkyard MAF hunt

Here is a link: http://www.pro-flow.com/old%20files/apchart.htm Looking at the stock 88-93 MAF, the Pro M curve is 19, for 19lb injectors. All you need to do is find another mass air that has the same curve and is set up for 19lb injectors. It will work fine then. For instance, I am getting a...

    Bike rack for the mustang?

What kind of bike do you ride? I have fit two bikes in the back of my GT with no problem. BMX bikes, mountain bikes, didn't really matter, both fit fine. Fit both bikes, some tools, and drove me and a friend with no problem. Just lay a crappy old blanket down or something so nothing gets...

Who has cut there rear springs?

What kind of handling are you looking at after you cut them. I'm pretty poor right now, but hate the way my car looks like a 4x4. I would think it would probably handle about the same. Reason being: Cutting the springs will lower the center of gravity, increasing handling. However, they are...

    Head swap stuff

Timing chain cover gasket. Not sure whether or not you need to take off the water pump or not. My friend and I did. If so, you will need that gasket too. Also, you may need a harmonic balancer puller. Those things are pains to get off. New coolant since you need to take out the radiator. Just...

73MM Caliper's with stock Master Cylinder?

Hmm, I thought I read somewhere that all you have to do is adjust some sort of rod inside the master cylinder like half a turn to work with the 73mm calipers. I thought it was on matt's site, but I can't find that information anywhere now. I am positive that it said that the stock master...

    People in PA

Wow, there seems to be quite a few people from the Allentown(and surrounding) area(s). I myself live in Mertztown, which is about 5 minutes from trexlertown/macungie/emmaus/wherever. Anyone ever go to the show they have every other saturday at the trexlertown mall? I remember seeing a few nice...
