Tire Pressure in BFG Drag Radials?

You have it backwards.. Generally you use lower pressure with the taller sidewall to take advantage of the "wrinkle". With 18's you want to run them a little higher. I would start around 22 and drop from there based on your traction. I usually run my 315 17's at about 17-18 and they hook well...

    Right rear sits out farther...look

Mine has a bit also, as evidenced by the wear on my 315's. As far as the axle, if mine is off it is not noticeable with the naked eye. Looks like someone slid around a corner and bumped a curb. You say only 4k miles when you bought it? Makes you wonder who took the hit on the value in order...

Got my SLP line lock installed!

I have the same set up, installed by the same buddy with the toggle in the coinholder (my idea originally :D ). I love the line lock and wish I had it last year. Burnouts are much easier (on the street and track ;) ) and saves wear and tear to the rear end and brakes.. Good write up Prop!

confused about final gear ratio and tire size

Nah.. They're pretty close, it really shouldn't affect you much..

    Engine rattle

That belt tensioner goes for $37.50 at the auto parts store and takes a few minutes to swap, along with the belt. Add and oil change, and a fuel change for $600.. did you take it to a dealership? Ouch..

confused about final gear ratio and tire size

What is important to look at is the circumference of the tire, not wheel size. That said, your new tires are larger than stock, negating to some extent the benefits gears give you, as compared to the stock 245/45/17. http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos For each RPM of the...

    When braking, the car shaking...

Never heard of those.. I have the 3 bolt UPR plates, which run $160 - $180. Ther 4 bolt maximum motorsports from that link I posted are supposed to be good as well, but cost even more.

    When braking, the car shaking...

Based on the response to these two questions it appears that the reason for going to 4 bolt with the coilovers is that the added pressure of the spring and strut, rather than just the strut in a common Mustang application, will cause additional pressure on the CC plate. On the three bolt design...

    When braking, the car shaking...

With a lowered Mustang you will need aftermarket CC plates to be able to get the alignment into spec, the stock plates do not allow enough adjustment. Of this I am certain. There are 3 bolt and 4 bolt. I have been told that coilover suspension on our cars should use 4 bolt. I am somewhat...

    When braking, the car shaking...

Aside from the vibration, my understanding is that you should have 4 bolt caster camber plates in order to align the front with coilovers.

    lowering vs. 1/4 mile times...

My best with my stock suspension, last October, was 8.64.. Over the winter I went to Sportlines with CC plates and the bumpsteer kit, and switched from the stock 8" wheels in the rear to 10.5". No other changes were made (see mods in sig). I went out yesterday, in warmer weather and higher...

    Springs!!!????

I can see why the bushings alone do not completely satisfy the issue, primarily because they don't alter it enough with a significant drop. Now, along with the bumpsteer kit (tie-rod ends) wouldn't it be suffucient? It seems the only lingering problem might be if the bushings move. Aside from...

    Springs!!!????

How so? Please elaborate. Also, what is the problem with Eibach Springs?

    Springs!!!????

I see a bunch of comments against Eibach, can anyone elaborate? This is the first I have heard of possible issues and am curious as to what they are. As far as the 2" drop being no good.. Caster Camber plates, bumpsteer kit and offset steering rack bushings go a long way to correct the geometry.

    Need some honest advise

There is already a lot of good advice here.. i will just add, don't waste your money on the UD Pulleys.. There are better things to spend on. If I had to do it over again I would not have bought them.

    will they fit?

They'll fit but you'll find that the tire manufacturers do not recommend it. I ran 275 Nitto's on my stock wheels all last year. Plenty of people do it without a problem. Others will recommend you not. It's one of those comfortability issues. If you can move up to a 9" wheel in the rear, I...

    suspension install

My buddy put on my springs in just under two hours with 4 jackstands and a floor Jack in his garage start to finish.. He's done it quite a few times though.

    HP?

Last I dyno'd was 249 with the mods in my sig.. I think your 255 is a pretty close guestimate.. Add about 25-30 for the cams with a tune, from what I have seen. I'll go 280.

    How about this suspension setup?

If you're looking for improvement at the drag strip, start with drag radials.. You can get a pair of nitto 275's for your stock wheels for about $300 and will likely drop your 60' by 2 tenth's or better.. With practice mine dropped 3 tenths consistently with just that.

    pinging at WOT, 87 octane

It has a slower burn rate. It's not really like retarding your timing but it does conteract the advanced timing which results in more power. The timing was probably advanced prior to you purchasing it. If running higher octane eliminated it then you should be good. If a previous owner has...
