    Ford or Mopar

I had the fortune of seeing that Challenger in person earlier this year at the Donut Derelects and Crystal Cove car shows. If the production car looks anything like the show car, they will sell millions.

    Power antenna...

Anyone have a reference for an off-the-shelf power antenna that will fit in the stock location of the right front fender in a '67?

    Fiberglass Hood Options....

I heard that you could shim the center of the fenders slightly with washers or fender shims to help the rise in the hood not look so tall. I'm thinking of getting the short 67 Shelby hood for my 67 fastback. OOPS! Wrong picture- Sorry.

    Dexron 3 / Mercon - Type F Difference

I called Lentech yesterday because my AOD makes an annoying noise. Sounds like when you slowly let air out of a balloon- that squealing noise- happens at any RPM, whether the car is in motion or not. The tech guy said to drain the Mercon/Dextron and try Type F to try to get rid of the squealing...

    SuperDave here: checking in

"I'd rather see a fish swimming free than on a plate before me" You gotta get a T-shirt with that quote. Glad to here from you...I wish you well so you can continue to drive your beloved 64.5.

Amp placement in a 67 fastback

OK, I haven't posted here in a very long time, but I need some ideas. My very compact 25 year-old Yamaha amp finally took a dump on me. I had it mounted to the sheet metal cut outs that made up the frame of the top of the trunk opening of the fastback. This amp was great because it was only...

Big block vs. small block PS hoses?

I had to get a big block pressure line for my 67. The end where it goes into the valve is a different size (7/16 instead of 3/8 ? ). I had to "upgrade" to a 68 valve assembly to get everything to jive. Since you have a 68, you should be OK. It now goes under the car, like my 69 did...

If you think JME is overpriced, think again

Sounds like the typical "add 300% for '69-'70, 1000% for Mach 1"

    Temp Spike on freeway

Maybe there is a blockage in the radiator? Timing set too high?

    O.T.> Bubble burst

That's why I haven't seen you around lately...working extra hours at Magnaflow to help pay down that mortgage? There's an article in the OC Register today saying that FOR SURE the housing bubble is ready to burst!

classic car insurance for crappy drivers?

I don't even know if you could find insurance in California with that record. Maybe try one of those offshore company's? You probably would never get your car replaced or repaired, but at least you would have the "insurance card" to show to the officer when you get pulled over.

    O.T.> Bubble burst

Don't know about Albuquerque, but you can get a new home in the area around Phoenix for a little over $200k. The wife and I went there a month or so ago to look at "investment" property. The builders won't sell to us because we already own a home in SoCal and don't have a job in the Phoenix...

Anybody ever use the car lifters for the garage ?

I think pabear has the type of lift you are referring to.

Finally done! what is it worth now =) (dialup=death)

Can't you unload one of your other rides? It would be a shame to sell such a nice stang. How good is your credit? Maybe you can get a home loan with no money down? Might be able to squeeze a couple more grand out of the price if you add GT light bar, stripe kit, exhaust, etc?

Do you have AAA? Call them up for one of your "free" annual tow jobs. That's how I did it.

1968 GT fastback or Porsche 911?

While you are in Newport Beach, go to the car show that is every Saturday morning at Crystal Cove on Pacific Coast highway. You will see ALL kinds of european cars there. Late last year a guy pulled up in a new Porsche GT. They have everything from BMW's, Ferrari's, Lambo's, Maserati's, to...

Car won't start (still). I can't deal with this. Make me an offer and it is yours.

Sorry, I'm in a drunken stupor at the moment. What if it sparks when the key is in the "start" position, then as it springs back to the "on" position it somehow loses contact. Wouldn't that kill any signal to the ignition system? I really need to not booze when I'm reading these forums.

I was thinking it might be the ignition switch. Can you bypass the ignition switch and try to hotwire it to get it to start?

    Bone Stock or Restomod???

Back when I had my Mach, I just had it slammed to the ground with the stock 14" chrome wheels. I had a stock 351w 4bbl ( but I did put on an Edelbrock combo) and a FMX. Everybody that didn't know about Mustangs thought I had done a lot of work to it to make it look that way. They trip out when...
