OK, I haven't posted here in a very long time, but I need some ideas. My very compact 25 year-old Yamaha amp finally took a dump on me. I had it mounted to the sheet metal cut outs that made up the frame of the top of the trunk opening of the fastback. This amp was great because it was only about 10" X 6" in size and was very unobtrusive.
Well, being the cheap SOB that I am, I went to WallyWorld and bought a cheap Sony Xplode amp. It definately won't fit in the same location. I figure any modern amp would roughly be the same size as the Sony, 16" X 11" X 2.5".
Won't fit under the seat either.
I'm not looking for mega dollar amps either. My current radio is a Blaupunkt Louisville CM41, circa 1991. I like it because it has shafts and fits well in the opening (standard interior, but has a factory console).
I also would like to keep my spare tire (I know, why would you want to do that in a fastback- call AAA and get a flatbed), and some tools, jumper cables, etc.
Where do you guys put your amps?
