    New engine, Coolant issues

    When you have your rad full and the cap off do you see bubbles coming up in the rad when you increase your RPM's? Manifold or head gasket is allowing air to be sucked into the engine would be my guess.

    Yep one of the little tricks I picked up from you guys here in the forums. For whatever reason if I don't the car sometimes will get all the way to "L" before it drops back, however if I use the AC to bring it on sooner the engine runs cooler. The engine hasn't boiled over in a very long time...

    I wish! Mine has never run that cold! I even have to run the A/C to keep it below the "M" and I've got a new rad & hoses, plus a tranny cooler & new water pump! As for the stock gauge its a POS and is all over the place. I've got to get an after market guage set up asap

    All back together! Took the heads to the shop and found one warped by a several thousand, but everything looked good so we just decked the heads to true the surface, and put it back together, seems to be ok. Still running a tad warmer then I'd like but it is doing what it should.

    Top Operating Equipment Don't know if its still in the scrap yard but their was a 94-95 Vert in a wrecking yard in Scotland Ontario. You could always call and see if they still got it you maybe able to get a working unit.
