    No they are not required to be marked at all in my state. That black camaro is a unmarked patrol car in my county and believe me he stops cars all the time. I am not aware of any laser devices in use in north carolina and I know that SHP is not using them.

    All of our speed devices (radar, vascar) have to be re-certed every 6mos and we have to use tuning forks when we start a shift on the radar and then again everytime we clear a traffic stop where we used radar. Not fortunate to have laser around here yet.

    Take your ignition module off and take it to a parts store and have them test it. No spark and no fuel tells me that it is probably the module and they are notorious for going without any notice.
