    Cams - Valve/Piston spacing

I have a 97 GT naturally aspriated with PI Heads and I am planning putting in flat top head pistons with no relief valves inlets. I am trying to decided between Comp Cams XE268H (part # 102200) or XE270AH (part #102600). The major difference between these two cams are the valve lift. The...

Do I need valve reliefs on Flat Top Pistons?

Hummmm that sucks monkey nuts. I found a great set of flat tops on ebay (w/o reliefs) and I bought them. I'm in the process of a lower end rebuild and a PI head swap. I am staying N/A and looking for a 10-11:1 compression (hence the flat tops). I was planning on going with Stage one cams...

I am going to be running a N/A 97 GT with a PI head swap and new forged internals. I wanted to use flat top pistons and was wondering if anyone knew if I needed valve reliefs on them or not.

    N/A vs Blown

Not toast at all, just in need of crank bearings (at least from what I can see with everything still assembled.) So techinically I can rebuild it dirt cheap and keep the stock motor as is. However since I have it out I am going to replace all rings, bearing, seals, anyways, I thought I...

    N/A vs Blown

I am a weekend warrior at the race track but do use the car as a daily driver. I have the stock block and would like to reuse that and just build from there, forged internals etc. In my other post http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=604729 I mentioned where I am at. I have only run...
