    avoiding heat inside car

You don't need to take the heater core out. Just put a cut off valve on the incoming line from the water pump to the heater core. That is usually placed on the engine side firewall. Make sure your carpet underlayment is new or at least in good condition.

    Stupid is as stupid does!

I pulled up to the station pump, and commenced to fill my tank, then suddenly noticed it was diesel. Well, fortunately, I had only put in about a gallon before discovering my dufus. The tank was almost empty, so I went ahead and filled it the rest of the way with 93 ocatane. Well, the old...

Yeah, that's a bubbamobile. Not worth your time and energy, much less the money it would take to get it back on the road. I wouldn't even take a second look at it.

Leaf spring ??'s Replace or not ??

Yeah, you just need to replace the 40 year old leafs with new 4 leaf springs. You may have a problem getting the front bolts out. I did, and wound up using a reciprocating saw to saw it off. And, when you go to put the bolts in the rear shackles, don't fully tighten them down until you have...

Buy performer RPM or stick with plain performer?

Yeah, the performer is not anything more than a stock intake made out of aluminum. There are about a zillion other intakes that will be better for a performance engine.
