The reason that 5.0 doesn't change it's name, is because if it did, all the fox readers would quit reading it and their readership would fall into the crapper. We keep getting it in the hope that there will be a few foxes in it. I agree Modified Mustangs is much better. 5.0 has also turned into...
Are the stealerships still jacking up the prices with dealer markups or are they selling them at list price yet? If they are adding a markup, how much are they tacking on???
Hmm - I have that same unit in my mustang. There are 4 wires that you can hook up - the red and black wires that power the unit (switched 12V output and ground). The other two wires are both used for datalogging. The white wire is a 0-5V output from the unit that can feed into a PMS (which is...
Doesn't the wideband put out the 0-5V rather than need it? When I wired my AF gauge up, it hooked into a 12V switched circuit, and the output of the unit was 0-5V in a linear scale for the AF readings. Sorry if I'm completely missing the question here, but I don't know if a place where you can...
Removing trim around the windows is tricky - you can buy a trim removal tool or can make one like I did from a putty knife - you cannot remove it without one of these tools or you will damage the trim. To remove the trim, you have to slide the trim tool underneath the trim - you're coming it...
Duplicolor makes a nice black trim paint - I would avoid using primer - just scuff it well with a scuff pad, use a good quality wax/grease remover, dry well, and shoot 2-3 coats of the trim paint - the duplicolor comes out with an nice satin appearance. Pretty much all of the trim is easy to...
Hmm - $60 for 2-3 pulls is a bit steep - you can get an hour of dyno time for $120 and get more than a couple of pulls. In February it was $25 for 2 pulls - business must be good!!
If your that easily offended by the GT500 segment, better not watch the episode where they went to the US to see if it was cheaper to buy a car than rent one - hilarious.
FYI - you can download all the TG episodes here....

Yep - came to the same conclusion - after having the car dyno'd 3 times, and all the dyno guys would do is bump the FP, I gave up on dynos, bought an AEM AF gauge, PMS, and datalogging software and tuned it myself. Shoulda done that from the start.
I have wasted many more $$$ than I care to remember at Carb Conn - they are pretty clueless when it comes to Mustangs. I took my car in with an SCT chip to have them fix a lean issue - they said to drop it off first thing in the morning. They still hadn't got to it by 5 or 6 in the evening. So...
You can get the AF from the wideband on the PMS handheld only if you use the AF gauge that Anderson Ford Motorsports sells - I think it is the UEGO 2000 or something like that. Otherwise you will need a laptop to datalog. I would suggest getting Interacq and a laptop - if gives you a lot more...
I have a PMS, AEM wideband, and Interacq for datalogging. Worked well for me - love being able to tweak it whenever I want. I tried buying a chip and having a dyno shop tune it for me, but all they tried was bumping the FP - waste of $400 for dyno tuning. Sold the chip and got the PMS.
You had posted a dyno graph that should two runs - one with an AF of 14 - presumably that was the first run and one with an AF of 12 - what did the tuner do to the car to get the AF to drop?
I have a question for you - how did the tuner get your AF to go from 14 to 12? As Daggar alluded to earlier, if he simply bumped the fuel pressure, he has done you no favors. Unless you have a chip. Tweecer, PMS or some other engine management system, the only way he can make your AF drop like...
