    2000 Mustang Gt Engine Swap

short answer: yes. ;) I think the Crown Vic would be a better choice since I don't think the F-150's got the PI engine for a few more years.

    Hurst Shifter Help?!?!? 99-04

I have/had a rectangular Hurst boot. I have an extra surround piece and recently switched back to stock type boot folded over and zip tied to the shifter handle. It's not perfect, but it works better than the rectangular boot.

    Hurst Shifter Help?!?!? 99-04

I've been looking for something like that for 10 years or so with no luck :-/

Stuck Rear Caliper 2004 Mach 1

It could be sticky mounting pins. If a boot got torn and moisture got it they can rust pretty quick. You can get new mounting pins at any descent auto parts store and they are cheap and easy to replace. If you need just a caliper, I'd check rockauto.com. Since most local stores around here...

Engine Build Questions (2v To 4v)

The 2v computer will run a 4v engine, but needs a tune to get the most from a 4v. I think the COP leads need to be changed too. It has been a few years since I looked into it, but from memory the leads need to be extended some and the polarity may need to be reversed. There used to be tons of...

    Gt Rear Bumper Change

I'm pretty sure that is just a plain ol' V-6 with dual exhausts. I don't think there is any reason you can't just put on a V-6 bumper cover and change the exhaust so they hang lower, if that is what you want. You'd probably want to get some extra long tips or something to clean up the looks of...

    Another Radiator Thread...suggestions?

the stock plastic tanks lasted 10+ years, so there is no reason a decent factory replacement won't last as long. But an upgraded radiator could make sense if you plan on mods to the powertrain.

    New '99 Gt Convertible Owner

I wouldn't go so far as saying a CAI or a street style throttle body would lose any torque, maybe a cause a small upward shift in the torque curve, but no, a sensibly sized CAI and throttle body won't cost any power, probably won't make a ton more either though. ;) Just stay away from EBay...

    Should I Sell My Mustang?

if it isn't costing you anything but insurance and registration, and there isn't something else you'd rather have in the garage why sell it?

    '03 Gt Overheated, Stalled...

no coolant in the system would explain the gauge not being pegged... It could be the water pump, but I'd assume if it was leaking that much it should be fairly easy to spot the source. Just fill it with water, start it up and watch for leaks.

    Intake Manifold Fitment Question

The Dorman intake is a cheap knock-off with many, many documented fitment issues. DON'T use it on a PI engine.

30-40 without a power adder? probably not... :-/ a good cold air intake and a maybe throttle body won't hurt anything and don't cost a ton...but IMO, by far the best mod you can do is get a set of gears. I love my 3.73s, but a lot of guys are very happy with their 4.10s.

    Need Spoiler Advice

I'm also a fan of the wingless look on coupes, especially with fat tires....BUT if you are keeping the side scoops, you're right it needs something. Maybe a Saleen S281 style spoiler? those seem to go well with scoops and stuff, without being quite as over-the-top as the Cobra R wing.

Convertible Guys Chime In, Windshield Replacement

Safelite Auto Glass? That's exactly what happened to mine after Safelite put in a windshield...then to add insult to injury it cracked after about 2 months and they wouldn't warranty it because it had teeny tiny chips in it...like you can drive everyday for a couple months and not get any chips...

New To Stangnet And Desperately Need Some Advice

I don't know that I'd recommend getting hydraulic cylinders at a salvage yard, unless there was no alternative I guess. Who knows how long those cylinders might have been sitting around with their seals getting hard or how well they worked in the first place?

    Brake Question....

Check rockauto.com and see if the same part is listed for both? I'm pretty sure the GT and V6 use the same calipers and rotors, but I'm not 100%.
