Debating on leaf spring vs. 4-link

Step back and consider what you plan on doing with the car. If you're going for a street/strip/weekend racer car then sticking with the leafs or going with one of the "bolt-in" link suspensions is best. If you're going hardcore track day/autocrossing then you cannot beat a real 3-link with...

    Classic Injection

I can't hear the pump at all over the exhaust. Even in a quieter car this particular pump is pretty quiet and I've got it rubber mounted so it doesn't vibrate the sheetmetal. Only time I hear it is at startup when the EFI system pre-charges the fuel system. I could have used an intank pump...

    Classic Injection

'90 EFI harness / computer. Check out my website for some more info: Classic Mustang EFI As far as the tank, I built a sump and welded it in (used external pump). I would look into one of the units that you drill through the top of the tank and mount inside as my setup is not ideal.

    Wiper switch

Not sure what the issue is, but if 65/66 are anything like a 67 wiper motor mount, it really isn't all that bad. Once you've got the cluster out it's maybe a 15 minute job.

So I am debating which DOHC v8 to use...

Why are you planning on using a V6 T5 behind a V8? T5 isn't the strongest tranny in the world to begin with, think you'd be better off with the right trans (T45 or Tremec 3650).

TCP- Manual R/P steering opinions please!

Jon350, if you're planning on autocrossing it, definitely get the power rack. I autocrossed my 67 with a manual TCP rack for several years before moving onto a faster car (67 retired to the street) and when you get out of shape, power steering is something you really like to have. Those...

Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Voltage?

Thanks for the replies, will be digging into the dash (again) this weekend.

Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Voltage?

Yeah, I grounded it to the tank itself and also tried grounding it to different points on the chassis. Very odd...... Maybe pull the cluster again and check the gauge....

Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Voltage?

yes, that's the one I'm talking about. I know the gauge works off the variable resistance in the sending unit. I was expecting to see 12V, not 5.5V and want to confirm that it is getting the right voltage at the sending unit...

Fuel Gauge Sending Unit - Voltage?

I've done the usual checks to see if the gauge or sending unit is the problem: Grounding wire to chassis doesn't make the gauge go to full Different sending unit doesn't work either I've checked voltage at the sending unit wire with power on. I get 5.5 Volts. What should I be getting...

    Baer 4&6 piston calipers

Spacers that small aren't an issue, just make sure you've got plenty of wheel stud and keep the wheels torqued right.

    68 windshield wipers

69+ cars had an electric pump, all it takes is a 12v feed and you've got power squirters. It works ok, but doesn't solve the crappy 67 squirter nozzles... I've removed the footpedal from my car and am planning on tying in the pump I added with the wiper switch to a push button. That way...

    67 cluster bezel

You're not saving that much by buying a std. over a delux bezel. More than likely you'll somehow mess up the aluminum removing it from the delux bezel (if it is even removable) and then you're back at square one. Are you just looking to replace lenses or is something else messed up on it...

Need help with the clutch pedal spring...

I don't have the spring installed in my car. Doesn't seem to make a difference to me. There should be at least 1 other spring connected to the Z-bar to assist in pushing the pedal back up.

    Odd Dyno Results

Thanks again for the input. May keep a sharp eye on ebay to see if a Performer RPM II pops up. Going to make a trip back to the dyno soon and do some tuning and see what I can get out of it.
