    Just run the 4 cyl trans. They make a pilot bearing that fits. Do search for 4cyl T-5 and it should come up. The transmission will bolt up to a V8 T-5 bell, it will not bolt up to a V8 SROD tranny(4 speed). I ran quite a few of them in differannt v8 cars. I think i am the only one that...

    I would guess that it woul be the first 4-6 months of production, as the first two months in 97 have to be included. As this one was of the early design and had the 1/24/97 date sticker on it. I'm working on uploading the pic now. Maybe that will help. Steve

    100% positive, no. i do have a pic of the build tag for this EXP1 intake. it was 1/24/97. Unfortuneatley I didn't get to remove it off of the explorer myself. of all the reserch i've done, it was at the end of febuary when the switch was made, although there have been a bunch of cross breeds...

    I will also add that the 93 Cobra lower is the same lower as the GT-40. The 94-95 Cobra lowers are the same as the 93, but the boss in the #5 intake runner isn't drilled and tapped.

    The input shaft on a 4 cyl tranny and V8 tranny are nowhere near the same...sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but everything is gonna need sawpped out. Why not just run the 4 cyl T-5 for the summer?

    345 for a hood is not that bad of a price for a quality hood. Look in MMFF....Cervini's was 399. they bumped their prices....400 is about the going rate for a decent hood.

    you can always buy parts used to get a deal on them. My car makes real close to 300 RWHP, and has ported cobra heads (GT-40's). I got them and the cam used for a heck of a price and scouted ebay and swap meets for more deals. Just gotta know what you want, how much you want to spend and do...
